CHRIST IN ME

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” 1 Timothy 3:16.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Every child of God is a mystery to the devil.

The mystery of salvation is Christ which is the foundation of Christianity. Your new life in Christ is the essence of your being. God wrapped Himself in you at redemption; you have the very nature of God. At re-birth, everything about life is given to you; salvation is a total package. All that you need in life has been given to you, you are free from condemnation. However, you need knowledge to attain good health, wealth and good life. The spirit is the content while the body is the container. When you are born again, the spirit is free, but the soul and the body are not free, so you need knowledge to launch yourself into success. Nothing defines one’s destiny as mentality. Your destiny is not a mystery and God will not come down to move you into your destiny, you have to do something in order to arrive at God’s ordained destination.

Proverbs 4:18 says, “The path of the just is as the shining light, that shinneth more and more unto the perfect day”. Your destination is as a result of your determination. God has made plans and released provisions to you. Life is a fight and you must decide what you want. You may not have had a hand on how you were born or the family you come form but you get to decide how long you live and how good you live. Christ died at a very young age so that you may age graciously and die at a very old age. Jesus died poor that you may live wealthy (2 Corinthians 8:9). You are what you decide because your manifestation is determined by your thoughts; life functions in the direction of your thoughts. Nothing has ever failed in life. Rather, it is people with wrong mindset that fail. God expects you to make progress on daily basis. Develop a good mental capacity and walk your way into success because salvation is a total package.

INSTRUCTION: Get the right knowledge to succeed.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive a new mindset. Amen!

QUOTE: Whatever that can access your mind can access your future.

UNDERSTANDING THE GOSPEL

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” Romans 1:16.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation.

The main essence of believers in Christ is to promote the gospel. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. In other words, God’s power to save, help, deliver and bless is in the Gospel.  All a man needs is to hear and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is the answer to man’s problems. This was the understanding and conviction that the Christians in the early church had that made them to preach the Gospel fearlessly. They were bold and confident with the Gospel. They were beaten, arrested and even killed for the sake of the Gospel, all because of their understanding that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Despite the fierce opposition and persecution they faced, they were undeterred and still went on preaching the Gospel of Christ (Acts 5:41). It is not enough to preach the Gospel. You must also understand the Gospel that you preach and be convinced that it is the only hope for men. Your personal understanding of the Gospel is very important because your life will be a reflection of the gospel you understand. Your understanding of the gospel is your perception of what Christ came to do, and its importance, impact and relevance in your life. This is what will form your message. If you don’t fully understand the true Gospel of Christ, you will believe wrongly and therefore preach the wrong message.

The same message the Apostles preached, which Jesus Himself began to both do and teach is what we have the privilege to take to our world today. Be sure that it is the true message you preach. Study it. Understand it. There are no options to the Gospel. There is no other way to the Father except Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father except by me” (John 14:6). This is the absolute reality and it must form the basis of your convictions: your speech, your thinking. Your outlook on life must be from this understanding and persuasion about Christ and His Gospel because Jesus is the Gospel.

INSTRUCTION: Preach the Gospel of Christ with boldness.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for the understanding of the Gospel of Christ I have, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: It is your understanding that shapes your perception.

SEE YOURSELF IN GOD’S WORD

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” 2Corinthians 3:18

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  If you can see it, you can have it.

When you study the Word of God, you are actually looking into the mirror of God, and you see yourself. As you study and meditate, what you see is the glory of God, and that glory is actually your true reflection. This is because God’s Word mirrors you. It shows your identity, origin, potentials and ability in Christ Jesus. When we preach the Gospel and teach others the Word, we are holding God’s mirror to them so that they can see themselves in the Word, know who they are as well as their rights and abilities in Christ. The one who hitherto thought he was unworthy and undeserving of God’s love suddenly sees that he is so loved of God. The one who thought he was condemned suddenly discovers that Christ has paid the price for his salvation, and immediately begins to walk in that light. That is the power of God’s Word. It works through the mirror principle.

The Word does not only show you who you are, it also imparts to you the ability to live accordingly. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”. Notice carefully, the choice of words as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was made sin for you that you might be made the righteousness of God in Him. This means that you have become the very expression of His righteousness. You must see yourself that way, accept it and live accordingly. Keep studying and meditating on the Word of God, for the more you do so, the more His glory is increased and revealed in, and through you.

INSTRUCTION: Let God’s Word mirror you.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making me the expression of your righteousness, in Jesus Name. Amen.

QUOTE: Work on being and not on having.

TAKING OVER BY THE WORD OF HIS GRACE (2)

“And now, brethren”, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”

Acts 20:32

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Inheritance is not for children. It is for sons.

The Word of God comes to illuminate, inform and build your spirit thereby bringing you into the place God has prepared for you, helping you to understand the life you are supposed to live. The Word gives you divine insight into mysteries and secrets. So, when you are studying the Word on your own or hearing it being preached or taught, you must receive it with joy. When you receive the Word with gladness, very easily it imparts courage and faith to your spirit. The Bible makes us to understand that we have an inheritance in Christ. However, for you to use, walk and enjoy the vital reality of your inheritance in Christ, you need the Word. As you study and meditate therein, all that rightly belongs to you in Christ are not only unveiled to you, they become your vital experience. Inheritance is not for babies, it comes to those who have matured through constant study and meditation on the Word of his grace. The Bible says, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Proverbs 11:9). The just refers to those who have the life and nature of Christ in their spirits, those who are born again. Through the knowledge God’s word, they are delivered not from troubles but into their rightful place of inheritance.

The Word of God is what catapults you into that large place which the Psalmist spoke about in Psalm 18:19; a place of wealth, health and prosperity. It is therefore important that you get to know and possess your inheritance through the Word of his grace. You can only come into your inheritance when you take ownership of the Word of his grace. Picture this scenario: You walk into a restaurant every time to eat and you pay at the end of each meal. Wouldn’t you rather want to be the owner of that restaurant so that you can both eat to your fill without payment and also receive payment from those who come to eat in your restaurant?  God expects us to take ownership of the Word of his grace and come into our inheritance as well as dispense goodwill toward men. It is only in ownership that you can truly take over.

INSTRUCTION: Grow into your inheritance via knowledge.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for Grace

QUOTE: It is only in ownership that you can truly take over.

TAKING OVER BY THE WORD OF HIS GRACE (1)

“And now, brethren”, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”    Acts 20:32

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Jesus is the Word.

The Bible in John 1:1 records, “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. If the Word was God, and God doesn’t change, it means that the Word is still God. In verse 14 of the same chapter, the Bible says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”. The Holy Ghost had come upon the Virgin Mary, and the Word she received from the angel became flesh inside of her. That Word became a baby and grew to become the man, Jesus. So Jesus indeed is the Word of God become flesh; He’s the result of the word that was spoken to Mary. Today, when the Word comes to you, it still comes with that power and effect and produces the same results. It is God’s intention that the word becomes one with you; that it becomes flesh in you. If it is a word of healing, it is to destroy that sickness and take its place. The Word can recreate an amputated arm; the word can recreate a new womb; the word can develop new kidneys; the word can change your genotype, the word of God can literally change your heart. Receiving God’s word into your life is receiving the power of God into your life.

Don’t accept that your situation is hopeless or that you are helpless. Don’t despair or become despondent because of the state of your health or finances; you can change things with the word. Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions”. Meditate on the Word until it literally forms in you the message it bears. By constantly meditating on the word, your mind is renewed to only see, think and accept the results that the Word produces in you and for you.

INSTRUCTION: Use the word of God in your mouth to change that situation.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for your word which comes with power to change situations, in Jesus Name, Amen.

QUOTE: You are as powerful as your words.

SALVATION IS THROUGH FAITH IN THE GOSPEL

“Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, in thee shall all nations be blessed” Galatians 3:6-8.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Jesus is everything we need.

According to today’s text, Abraham released faith in the gospel and he was saved. The only thing that saves a man is faith in the gospel. The gospel was given as a promise by God through the prophets and the prophets wrote them down in the scriptures. The promise was then fulfilled on the day of resurrection. Romans 1:1-5 says, “PAUL, a servant of Jesus Christ called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (which he had promised afore by his prophets in the Holy scriptures) concerning his son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead”. The resurrection of Jesus is proof that the promise has been fulfilled. Apostle Paul also explained that Christ was raised from the dead so we can be free (justified), discharged and acquitted (Romans 4:25; Romans 8:32).

Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. The word, ‘Peace’ in Greek word is translated as ‘being united’ or engrafted in Christ. Gospel brings you into faith in Christ. Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Faith in Christ is faith in the gospel of Christ. It is faith in the resurrection. It is the same faith for salvation. The gospel is the reason we gather in church. Motivational messages cannot save. It is only the gospel that can save. Paul spoke about Jesus being declared the son of God with power by resurrection from the dead. This is the message that was promised in the gospel. The power of God is the gospel. If it is not the gospel, then it’s not the power of God. Where you find the gospel, you find power.

INSTRUCTION: Believe in the gospel of Christ.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for saving me, in Jesus Name. Amen

QUOTE: It is only the gospel that can save.

HE HAS GIVEN YOU EVERYTHING

All things are yours” 2Corinthians 3:21.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The Name of Jesus represents everything that He is.

The death of Jesus has accomplished quite a lot for us as believers. He died for us, that we might have life. He was buried, and God raised Him from the dead, so that we might be raised together with Him (Romans 6:3-4). Now, He is seated in the heavenly places, in the place of power and the Bible says that we are seated together with Him. Therefore, we are seated in the place of power and authority. Yes, we may be here on earth, but our power and authority comes from heaven. This is the reality that God wants us to embrace and apply in our daily lives. The implication of our position in Christ Jesus is that we use His Name, we have His Name, and we live in His Name. His Name is exactly the same power that He has as a person. The Name of Jesus represents everything that He is. However, there are many Christians who do not understand that they have been given all the power and authority. They are ones who pray for things. But praying for material things from God is not just a waste of time but also an insult to God. This is because He gave you His Name, and you are a joint-heir with Him. This means that you are a co-owner of the world with Him. So why should you pray for what is already yours?

Our text for today clearly shows us that all things are ours. God has given us everything. But if you are still looking at your circumstances, you will still be thinking of how to pray and convince God to grant your desires. But, how can you convince someone to give you anything who already gave you everything including the Kingdom? Yes, God has already given us Himself, how much more wouldn’t He give us everything including the Kingdom? He said in Luke 12:32, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom”; and He has done that already. What is required of us now as believers in Christ is to function on Christ’s behalf. Yes! We are His ambassadors. He gave you His life and His Name and His Name represents all that He is and owns. Therefore, you must take your place of dominion, reigning and ruling with Him. He is a King and He has raised us Kings unto Himself. A king does not beg. God does not want you begging Him; that is why He made all things yours.

INSTRUCTION: Appropriate all that the Name of Jesus has accomplished for you.

PRAYER: I am what God says I am, I have all He says I have, and all can do all things in His Name, Amen.

YOU ARE FREE THROUGH BELIEF IN CHRIST

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” John 8:36

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  Redemption makes you free.

You will never know the value of your freedom until you lose it. Men who are not free live in fear. There is freedom in redemption. A kidnapped man is deprived of his freedom until a redemptive price is paid. Adam mortgaged his freedom and that of his descendants to Satan. But Christ repurchased man; He paid the redemptive price and freed man! An understanding of the liberty associated with your redemption will compel you to be grateful to God. Redemption dispels all fears and offers you eternal life. Jesus Christ paid the price and set you free. Jesus speaking in John 8:31-32 said, “if ye continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Jesus was addressing the Jews who believed in Him. This shows that If you do not believe in Jesus Christ, then freedom is far from you. In all His teachings, Christ emphasized on the need for belief or faith. Your freedom is connected to your knowledge of the Truth. It is the truth you know and believe that guarantees your freedom. Until you know that Christ, by redemption has set you free, you will still continue to live in bondage. The truth is, your audacity is fuelled by the knowledge you have. Until you know, you cannot overcome.

When you know that the hand of the Almighty God is on you, you will never cower in fear. Are you not in Christ? If you are, then your moral should be high. Whenever you are confronted with a problem, speak aloud to your spirit man that “it shall be well with the righteous” (Isaiah 3:10). No matter the situations of life, be rest assured that you are more than a conqueror. Above all, the scripture says, “Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed” (Romans 10:11). The rendition of this scripture in the Amplified Version infers that no man who believes in Christ, adheres to Him, relies on and trusts Him will ever be put to shame. As the Gospel of Christ is spread to all corners of Nigeria, Nigeria will not see shame. With the knowledge of Christ permeating through all facets of Nigerian economy in particular and the world at large; we are more than conquerors.

INSTRUCTION: Believe in Christ Jesus and you are free.

CHRIST IS YOUR NEW WORLD

“as ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him”  Colossians 2:6

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  Faith is the basis of our walk with Christ.

We receive Christ Jesus only by faith. Faith is walking in the Word. When we walk in the Word, we are walking in Christ. Colossians 3:4 says Christ is your life; in Him you live, move and have your being. You are in the environment called Christ, and it is important that you live your life every day, conscious of this reality. Walking in Christ is beyond talking to Him in prayers when you have a need; rather, you are to have the present-hour consciousness that you are in Him, and He’s in you: you are all that He says you are, have all that He says you have, and can do all that He says you can. You must see yourself in this light and walk accordingly. You can only walk in the Light of the Lord by walking in His Word.

1 John 1:5-6 says, “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not know the truth”. You cannot walk in Christ and still walk in darkness at the same time. Darkness represents evil; all that limits and hinders. Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). When Christ is your new world, you experience the life of Christ everyday. You are forever victorious, prosperous, and in health. Live in the consciousness that you are a victor in Christ Jesus. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see someone that is in need of deliverance. He sees you as strong, full of the Holy Ghost and power. He sees you as more than a conqueror. You have to agree with His picture and say yes to the picture God has about you.

INSTRUCTION: Say yes to God’s picture about you.

PRAYER: Father, I say yes to all that you have called me to be, in Jesus name.

IT’S ALL ABOUT YOUR MIND

“And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age, and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things” Genesis 24:1

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  If you can see it, you can have it.

It is unfortunate that there are many people who think it is okay to be poor, and that the poorer you are, the closer you are to God. This is a very twisted and erroneous belief. The truth is that God does not want His children to be poor. The poor cannot help the poor neither can they take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Gospel flies on the wings of prosperity. God spoke through the prophet in Zechariah 1:17, “…My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad”. Notice that He did not say through poverty. Never believe in poverty. It is not from God. If God truly saved your soul, which is so important, then He must have made provisions to prosper you. Salvation comes with a comprehensive package. Never believe that rich people might have a problem getting to heaven. Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon and many others in the Bible walked with God in an extraordinary manner, were rich and are all in heaven.

Some people have remained poor only because they inherited it from their minds, not because they were born poor. Poverty is not the state of your birth or absence of required necessities. Rather, it is when a man’s mind and his mental prowess have been disabled. You can only inherit poverty by thinking the way poor people think. Poverty or wealth is from inside you. That you don’t have a car or a house does not mean that you are poor. Can you see the car or house inside you? It is all about your mind. If you can see it, then you can have it. That you don’t have money in your account does not mean that you are poor.  Your status in life is not dependent on how much money you have in your account. Success or prosperity is from inside you. Based on who you are in Christ, and what you carry on your inside, whatever finances you need would come to you. Therefore, you must work on your mind to be conscious of who you are in Christ and the power you carry on your inside and command whatever you need to come to you. It is all about your mind.

INSTRUCTION: Renew your mind.

PRAYER: Lord, I renew my mind to be conscious of my personality in Christ Jesus, in Jesus Name. Amen.

YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER IN CHRIST

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith”

1 John 5:4

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: You can only overcome when you believe.

Our faith (belief) is the victory that we have overcome the world. This faith is not for breakthrough but it is faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross. We have forgiveness of sin by the price Jesus paid on the cross. A person whose sins has been forgiven is an overcomer. He is not about to be forgiven but he has been forgiven already. Forgiveness of sins was before the foundation of the world. Redemption was God’s plan for man before the world began. The Bible in Revelations 13:8 says, “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world”. This means that we are not about to be forgiven but we have been forgiven already. As believers in Christ, we must walk in this consciousness that we are overcomers. As believers in Christ, we are a special class of people. 1 Peter 2:9 tells us that, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people that ye should shew forth the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”.

God’s forgiveness to us was clothed in love, mercies and kindness. This is why as believers, we must reconcile men to God through Christ in love and kindness and not in condemnation. Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. Believers whose sins have been forgiven have that boldness to overcome situations and circumstances. The boldness of every believer is in the knowledge that he has no record of sin. A believer is not looking for victory but rather, he is victory personified.

INSTRUCTION: Enjoy all that pertains to life and godliness. It’s already paid for.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for making me an overcomer in Christ, in Jesus Name.

A BELIEVER IN CHRIST DOES NOT HAVE A SIN PROBLEM

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The wrath of sin was satisfied on the Cross.

Many believers think that Christ died to save man from the wrath of God. They think that God was fuming at the world from heaven and looking forward to the day He will finally execute judgment on man and the sinful world. The truth is that God is no longer concerned about sin.  He used to be and it was this concern that made Him send Jesus to die for the sins of the world. The focus today is no longer on the wages of sin, which is death; but on the gift of God, which is eternal life through Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23). God wants the world to receive the salvation which He has already made available in Christ Jesus. The Bible says that He is unwilling that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2Peter 3:9). When Jesus died on the Cross, the problem of sin was dealt with. The wrath of sin was satisfied. This means that a believer in Christ Jesus does not have a sin problem. The death, burial and resurrection of Christ brought an end to sin and brought us into the life of righteousness. “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

God is not angry with you. He has settled the sin problem in, and through Christ. What you need to do is to trust His righteousness. You are the result of Christ’s redemptive work. Accept and walk in His righteousness and live continually in His love, glory and grace. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the ministry of reconciliation”. Once you come into Christ, God does not even remember your sins. He does not hold you accountable for your sins. The Bible says, “…if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life” (Romans 5:10). Also, verse 17 of Romans chapter 5 says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ”.

INSTRUCTION: Never be conscious of sin. Rather, be conscious of your righteousness in Christ.

NO MORE SACRIFICE

“For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:7-8.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: No more sacrifice is required for you to walk in and manifest the glory of God.

It is unfortunate that some Christians still believe that they have to pay a certain price to get God’s approval or receive certain blessings from God. Some even believe that they have to pray and fast many days to receive a greater measure of the anointing. But that is not right. It does not work that way. Fasting is to bring your flesh under subjection to build your spirit man by studying the Word of God. If you are planning to pay a certain price or make a certain sacrifice for the anointing or anything for which Jesus already died to pay for, then you do not believe that what Jesus already paid was enough. No more sacrifice is required for you to walk in, and manifest the glory of God. God chose to bless Abraham. Abraham did not do anything to impress God first before God chose to make him great. God told him He will make him great even before he believed (Genesis 12:2) and his believing was accounted for righteousness.

In the New Testament, it’s about Christ and all that He has already done for us. its not about our works. The Bible says not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:9). Colossians 1:2 (NIV) says, “giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light”. We could not qualify ourselves to become heirs of God and partakers of the divine nature. Neither your good works nor your self-righteousness was good enough to qualify you for the divine heritage you have in Christ. Therefore, there is no need striving or struggling to be good enough for God. Simply accept all that Jesus did for you. He paid the price for you to have, and enjoy all things that pertain to life and godliness. Therefore, live in His glory. You have no more sacrifices to make to qualify for God’s blessings. The sacrifice of Jesus is enough. Hallelujah!

INSTRUCTION: Enjoy all that pertains to life and godliness. It’s already paid for.

ACKNOWLEDGE THE GOOD THING IN YOU

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus Philemon 1:6

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Because you are in Christ, everything in you is good.

The word, ‘acknowledge’ is epignosis which means precise and accurate knowledge of who you are in Christ. Because you are in Christ, everything in you is good. All the faith a believer needs is already inside of him. Therefore, a believer in Christ does not have a faith problem. The believer has to participate in the working of his faith by acknowledging the good thing that is in him in Christ Jesus. All of Pauline prayer to the church was a prayer for knowledge. This knowledge is the Greek word, ‘epignosis’ which is precise and accurate knowledge and discernment (Romans 10:1). To be saved is different from participating in religious activity with a deep zeal or passion. When you are ignorant of God’s righteousness, you go about creating your own righteousness and relate with God exactly backwards (Romans 10:2 MSG). You can be full of energy and activity but until you submit to the righteousness and knowledge of God, your relationship with God is not right. Everything you will do will be exactly backwards. Salvation is entirely God’s business and it is a most flourishing business at that. But when you are ignorant of the good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus which is your salvation, you set up your own salvation shops and nosily hawk your wares. By so doing, you fall below God’s standard of salvation because you have already set up your own standard. Salvation is not about activity but about Christ.

The spirit man does not require activity but food. The food of the spirit is words. As you hear the right message about Christ, your spirit is being fed and you are strengthened with might. By feeding on God’s Word, you become aware of the riches of the glory of the inheritance in the saints. The born again man is the custodian of the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. He is the most expensive reservoir of God’s resources on the planet. All of God has been deposited in the born again man. He is the residential address of divinity. The born again man is God’s heaven. He is full of the exceeding greatness of God’s power. All of God’s power is wrought in Christ and Christ dwells in the born again man. Therefore, all of God’s power is wrought in the born again man. There is nothing newer or better than the new creation.

INSTRUCTION: Don’t seek activity. Seek productivity.

PRAYER: I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Amen.

QUOTE: You are the residential address of divinity.

THE WORD IS IN YOUR MOUTH: SPEAK IT

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith which we preach” Romans 10:8.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Men who speak word of faith in their situation can never sink with that situation in this world

The Word of God is the bedrock for the force of faith. Words are containers of spiritual forces. When you release positive words, situations change for the better. Anytime you want to enter a new level, words are needed to push you there. When you speak faith into any situation, that situation can never remain the same. The way you react to God’s Word matters a lot. If you must overcome the challenges of life, you must learn to always respond in faith to God’s word. You must learn to function in the arena of faith where the only thing that matters is the Word of God. No matter the storms of life, you must always speak positive words for when men say there is a casting down, you shall say there is a lifting up (Job 22:29). As a believer, you must consciously speak life into any situation you find yourself for the words we speak are spirit and they are life (John6:63). Never allow your physical senses (what you see, feel, or hear) determine the circumstances of your existence.  2Corinthians 4:8 says, “While we look not at things that are seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Life exists in the realm of speaking the word. You cannot take anything in the realm of the spirit without your faith. Faith is speakable. Prayer is taking God’s word back to Him for an answer. Thus, faith is the Word of God. You can overcome the battles of life through speaking faith. Therefore, you must hold fast to your confession of faith. Ephesians 6:16 says, “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”Faith shields you from all evil enchantments. But if you don’t speak it, remain a victim. When you believe right, you speak right and achieve the right results. Never allow the circumstances of life make you confess negatively for your words are the compass of your life. Speak life right now to that dead situations for the word is nigh thy mouth!

INSTRUCTION: Use the word in your mouth.

PRAYER:  Lord, I command situations to change, in Jesus name!

QUOTE: Unspoken word can never manifest the required results.

YOUR WORDS AND YOUR LIFE

“Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth; thou art taken with the words of thy mouth” Proverbs 6:2

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Your words are the compass of your life.

The words we speak are very powerful. Words have potent force to build or destroy. Words are so powerful that the entire universe was created with words (Genesis 1:3). The Bible records that when God created the heavens and the earth, God only spoke words. This is a clear example of how potent words can be. As a born again child of God, you must be loaded with the right word. You ought to have the Word of God constantly on your tongue.  Jesus speaks in John chapter 6:63 that the words he speaks are spirit and they are life. The words you speak have the capacity to give life to any dead situation. Likewise, it can destroy whatever you have built up over the years. In Matthew 12:36-37, Jesus said, “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgement. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned”. It is by the words we speak that we are saved or condemned.  According to Paul in Romans 10:8-10; “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Words are the compass of your life. Your life is a function of what you say continually. If your confessions are positive, you harvest positive results. If you always confess negative, you will always get negative results. The Apostle James in James 3:4-5 likened the tongue to the rudder of a great ship, which the captain uses to direct the ship wherever he wants. A wholesome life is a product of wholesome words. What you say is what you get (Mark 11:23). Therefore, you must consciously watch what you say. What you say determines the course of your life. You can keep yourself in good health, safety, prosperity and victory with your words. Consciously stir your life in the direction of God’s destiny for you with faith-filled confessions. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. You must create and sustain the good life with your words. You can be anything you want to be, or have anything you want to have only with your words. Therefore, speak into the atmosphere. Speak life and you will have life. Whatever you declare is what will come to you. Speak it and have it!

INSTRUCTION: Always speak the right words.

PRAYER: Lord, I consecrate my mouth to make only positive confessions over my life,  in Jesus name.

QUOTE: A closed mouth is a closed destiny.
