THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU

“Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth” John 11:32,43.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: It is only faith that has no respect for time.

There is no problem free zone in life. Problem is the secret hand of God moving men from nothing to something. It takes God to win the battles of life (Psalms 124:1-6). When God is with you, you will have all round victory. It is only faith that has no respect for time. According to John11:1-43, Lazarus was a friend of Jesus who had been dead for four days before the arrival of Jesus. Even when Mary and Martha sent for Jesus while Lazarus was still sick, the scripture made us understand that He didn’t show up but stayed where he was. Rather, Jesus said that the sickness was not unto death but for the glory of God to be manifested. When Jesus finally arrived the town of Bethany even when Lazarus was dead and buried, the story of Lazarus and his family was never the same. Therefore, as believers in Christ, no matter what circumstance you may be going through, the good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel! The Bible records in Psalms 30:5b that weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. It does not matter how long you have been in that situation, there is hope for you. Don’t give up because when God is with you, you will have a supernatural commanding victory. When problems land on your door, don’t break down rather choose to break records because in every family and generation, there must be record breakers. Therefore, you must choose to be one. Do not measure enemies by their size but by the size of your God. When problems show up, you do not have to see problem but see God in the midst of the problems (Exodus 14:13-14). God has the answer to every problem that comes our way. Isaiah 43:2-6 captures the promise of God to always be with us. It says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, yourSavior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.  Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life”. Coming out of problems is possible when you treat God as God and giving Him the honour He deserves.

INSTRUCTION: Don’t lose hope. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to come out of every problem of life, in Jesus Name.

GRATITUDE IS AN ATTITUDE

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High” Psalms 92:1

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:Appreciation is the mother of another.

Giving thanks is the source of your success; it moves you from the back side to the front side of life. Thanksgiving is the fast lane that moves you to where God wants you to be. So, whenever you encounter a disappointment, know that God is giving you a break to realize your goal. Romans 8:28 says, “All things work together for the good of those who love God”. Gratitude is a propeller, the springboard that shoots you up to the next level. Learn to thank God in season and out of season; knowing that behind every embarrassment is an embracement. Anytime you complain, it is a sign that you’ve forgotten what God has done for you. God deserves the highest praise and it is only a thankful heart that can be praiseful.

Naturally, people who are not thankful are not favored. If a mortal man can value “thank you”, how much more our loving father who does exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ever think or ask for. The major key to success is gratitude; a man who does not appreciate depreciates. When you cultivate a heart of gratitude, it means you have prepared a springboard for heaven to promote you. As the year comes to an end, remember, you are not better than those who died; it is because of God’s mercy, so thank Him for life, good health and for things yet to come.

INSTRUCTION: Learn to be thankful for everything.

IT IS YOUR SEASON OF VICTORY (2)

“Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come” Psalm 102:13

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Favour is not negotiable when your season comes

The uniqueness of a man whose time has come is the favour that accompanies him. Favour is an attachment from God on a man to help him accomplish a divine mandate without much labour. Favour is grace because it is not merited. It is bargain-able. It is only given by divinity. Favour does not come alone. It comes with mercy. When the arrow of favour is shot towards a man, at the head of that arrow is the mercy of God. God’s mercy helps you to receive the favour when you are not qualified. This is why today’s scripture says the Lord will rise and have mercy upon you for the time to favour you has come. And your appointed time is now. So, mercy clears the way for mercy to penetrate.

Now is your time and you will enjoy the mercies of God. The mercies of God bring favour into your life. Friends, we are serving a merciful God who has decided to set this season as your time of favour. Therefore, you have no option or excuse not to enjoy the favour. It is actually your time. Jesus had paid for your wrongs and brought you into your set time of favour. Never listen to the deceptive voice of the devil in your mind. The knowledge you have about Jesus and the power of His resurrection sets you free from satanic bondage and ushers you into a realm of endless season of favour. This is your time. Go and enjoy it in Jesus Name.

IT IS YOUR SEASON OF VICTORY (1)

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: This is the most acceptable time for you to reign.

You might have tried and failed because it was not your time! It is time for you to succeed, even against all odds. There is no best time for you to reign than now! Christ had paid for your poverty, so you can prosper; paid for your pains so you can have pleasure; paid for your shame so you can have fame; He paid for your sins so you can become the righteousness of God in Him. Therefore, there is no condemnation against you to hinder your victory. You have been set free from condemnation. Romans 8:1 says, “there is therefore now no condemnation for them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit”. This is the realm in which you operate. In this realm, you are unstoppable. In this realm, your victory is not negotiable. This is the most acceptable time for you to reign, not tomorrow!

Sons and daughters, friends and partners, this is your time! Ask whatever you need from God, then believe and you will have it. “For I know that even now, whatever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee” (John 11:22). Don’t wait for a sign in the sky. Rise to the time that God has brought you into. This is the season for believers and you are one of them. You have waited on that mountain for too long. Rise into your victory. The victory of this generation is in your hands. It is not only your time, but your turn and season.

ENFORCE YOUR SONSHIP

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” John 1:12

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The headquarters of God is in man.                                           

The term, ‘First Begotten’ implies that Jesus Christ is an example or a role model. Others are following after the example or role model. Jesus Christ is not the only the Son of God as erroneously presented by song writers. Another error is welcoming the Holy Spirit. If one must ask, ‘where was the Holy Spirit before He was being welcomed’? The Holy Spirit is in you. Jesus Christ lives in you. Have you not read in the scripture, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27)? The resurrected Christ is not confines to a particular geographical location. God’s system is not in time, space or season. The Kingdom of God is in a man. The moment you got born again, God relocated the headquarters of divinity into you. Daily and consciously confess your belief and trust in Christ. Your belief in Christ is the only basis for your redemption. Anything that takes your mind away from Jesus is called another gospel. A sermon that is not centered on Christ is another gospel. Jesus Christ is the central point of Christianity and all teachings must be centered on Him.

The thread running through the entire scriptures is Christ. From Genesis to Revelation, the entire Bible is the systematic presentation of Jesus Christ; ranging from His emergence at birth, His sufferings, the agonizing death He died to His glorious resurrection. This is the truth as contained in the scriptures. Jesus Christ is God’s gift to the world. It is your honest belief in Christ that seals your sonship. You are also a son of God. It is an error to believe that Jesus Christ is the only son of God. Jesus Christ is the First Begotten. After the death and glorious resurrection of Christ, God reaped many sons. Therefore, you are also a son of God. You have the liberty to enjoy all rights and privileges sons enjoy. You have the right to place a demand and not beg. Sons don’t beg. You have the right to decree a thing and it is established. You have the right to your inheritance. Rise up in to your sonship.

THE BENEFIT OF HIS BIRTH

“And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against”        Luke 2:32

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:

Your rising in life is determined by His birth in your life. Man fell from grace when he disobeyed God in the garden. As a result of this, man lost his place of dominion. The birth of Christ set in motion the process restoring man to his place of dominion. The position Christ occupies now is the position a believer in Christ occupies. That is the benefit of His birth. He was born for your rising. His birth became a spring board for your rising. His birth became an hover board for your swiftness in life. By virtue of His birth, you have the right to overtake those who went ahead of you. You cannot remain in the same level you were before His birth.

It is pertinent that you rise. You must rise above those limitations, barriers and obstacles that kept you down. You are the reason for His birth. He had you in mind when he accepted to leave for throne. He saw you in eternity before accepting the call to come. God asked the prophet Isaiah who shall I send and who will go for us. The Bible records that there was quiet until Jesus responded, “Here I am, send me”. You can rise if you receive Him into your life. He was born just to buy you out of the hands of the devil and give you a place among those that are sanctified. Don’t forget that until you receive Him, you cannot rise. Therefore, receive Him into your life and enjoy the benefit of His birth today.

THE MYSTERY OF HIS BIRTH

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” 1 Timothy 3:16

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The godliness of Christ will forever remain a mystery to the devil.

The birth of Christ is a mystery that can never be demystified by the devil. How divinity was packaged into humanity and manifested as flesh and blood remains something he cannot handle. Mankind had lost his place in the divine affairs because he mortgaged the authority of his creation. What he was meant to rule over began to rule over him; what he was meant to be in control of, began to have control over him. Man lost his original position. The position that man lost in the garden, God recovered it through the birth of Christ. For God to access the earth and fellowship with man, He needed to become flesh mysteriously. For you to have fellowship with God, you need to allow Christ into your life. If you don’t have Jesus in your life, you cannot access His presence.

The birth, death, burial and resurrection of Christ brought man back to his original place in God. God outplayed Satan when Jesus Christ came to the world in the flesh. It remains a mystery to Satan how God became man and man became God. Satan did not believe that he would face God in a man. When you receive Christ into your life, you become a walking God. The headquarters of divinity is relocated to your inside. You are God walking in the flesh controlling the affairs and situations of life. As a believer, you become a mystery to the devil the moment you are born again. Satan has no right to predict you. Just as no one can predict the direction of the wind, that is how you are. You are unpredictable and unstoppable.

IT’S A SEASON OF GOODNEWS

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people” Luke 2:10

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: His birth is the assurance of all good things.

This season as we know is the season of love but most importantly, it’s a season of good news. The arrival of Jesus on earth paved the way for the good news in the lives of all believers. His birth is the assurance of all good things. This is the undeniable truth! The birth of Christ came as good news to believers and as a bad news to the devil. It is a bad news to the devil because he knew that with the birth of Christ, his downfall has begun. Hence, he tried everything he could to stop the good news but the glad tidings of Jesus prevailed against his evil plots. This is the reason we stand today with joy and gladness in our hearts, to celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the reason for the hope of the believers today because you know that what you pass through is not to be compared to His glory which He had promised us.

The purpose of Jesus Christ’s birth was to bring good news to families. Hear this, the good news has nothing to do with your qualification or size but it has everything to do with Christ. You don’t have to work hard to earn this good news. It is part of the believer’s Bill of Rights to have good news every day of his life. It was this good news that put Nazareth, a small and obscure town in the map of Jerusalem. Citizens, friends and partners, we have to be conscious of the fact that Jesus Christ is that good news we are talking about. If you do not have Him, then this good news is far from your life. The purpose of the good news is to give believers hope. 

INSTRUCTION: Tell the good news to people. Draw them to Christ.

PRAYER: Lord, may this good news constantly resonate in my mind for eternity, in Jesus Name, Amen.

GOD: OUR STRENGTH

“The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments” Habakkuk 3:19.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  God is our ready help.

We were not made to be self-sufficient; we were made to depend on God and to rest on His strength. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength”, He is a safe place to hide. When you stand on His word, you are hiding in a place. When you believe Him, walk in His principles. By the arms of flesh shall no man prevail, but by the strength of God shall even the weak among us prevail. You are not to trust in chariots and horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are raised, and stand upright (Psalms 20:7). It is not because you live in a bullet proof house or you buckled your door last night that made you sleep securely and woke up this morning unhurt by the arrows that fly in the night. No! But it is by the prevailing and unfailing strength of God that kept you alive for, “except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” (Psalms 127:1).

Stop relying on what you can do by strength, start trusting on what God can do through you because God gives power to the faint and to those who have no might, He increases strength (Isaiah 40:29). You may be going through challenges and don’t know what to do, instead of relying on self effort run to God. He is your strength and refuge, your present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). There is no situation bigger than God; He wants to help you now. Come to Him and you will be surprised how He will welcome you be His strength against the oppositions of your enemies.

INSTRUCTION: Come to God. There is nothing to difficult for Him.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to trust you to take care of me.

SPEAK VICTORY

                                                         

“Say unto them, as truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you” Numbers 14:28.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  Speak what you want.

 In every situation, especially the ones you don’t want say what you want and not what you see. When you feel pain, declare your healing. Sometimes, you become frustrated and say the things you don’t mean, remember, we are not moved by what we see but we are moved by what the word says. The things we see are temporal. God is interested in what comes out of your mouth especially when you are waiting for His manifestation upon your life. The question is if God were to respond every time to you by what you say, what will be the result? Think about it!

You are not the only one going through challenges but your victory lies in what you say. God is waiting for you to act and to react. You need to stop declaring defeat and declare your victory because you are fighting from the victory point. Learn to declare the end from the beginning. Determine how your day, week or month will end, there’s so much power in your mouth. You operate in two realms; don’t be afraid to speak openly. Remember, we are more than conqueror. Jesus is in control of what you allow Him to control because no miracle can ever happen without your permission. When God created man, He did not include failure because the mission of God in every man’s life is to prosper and when your soul prospers, it means that your mind, intellect and emotions are all part of the salvation package.

INSTRUCTION: There’s so much power in your mouth, use it to declare your victory.

PRAYER: Father, I declare my victory in Jesus name, Amen.

BELIEVE AND RECEIVE

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”

Romans 12:2.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: You need knowledge to rule your world.

The good, acceptable and perfect will of God can only be achieved through knowledge. This is the core foundation for receiving. In receiving, one must first believe and how do you believe in something you have little or no knowledge about? Life is in the mind, your mind needs to be updated; if your android phones require a constant upgrade, how much more yourself? No matter what you want to attain in life, greater academic heights, career, business and marriage; knowledge is a necessity.

One of the benefits of believing in Christ is; He has given you all that you require to succeed through redemption, you have the power to access and receive everything that He paid for at the cross. What you believe erodes delay and ushers you into your place in destiny. 1 Peter 5:10 says, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered awhile make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you”. Remember, no matter what you think you want or need in life, all you need to do is believe and you will receive.

INSTRUCTION: Start believing in your dreams and watch as they come into manifestation.

PRAYER:  Lord, because I believe, I position myself to receive all the benefits of my redemption in Jesus Name, Amen.

ASSURANCE

“But continue thou in the thing which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child, thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” 2 Timothy 3:14-15.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The bible is the manual that explains the content.

There is an assurance that comes when you know you are alive and are where you ought to be, this is the partnership and security embedded in salvation. This is beyond accepting Jesus into your lives; it is a belief system that is inspirational, beneficial and profitable for reproof. Have you ever wondered why you are a Christian? Is it because you were born into a Christian home? Or you discovered Christ for yourself? People’s view about Christianity has been thwarted because they do not know who they are in Christ Jesus. The basis of your salvation is the essence of your being which is expressed when you are part of a church.

Ephesians 4:12-13 says “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”. The role of the church is to perfect you, build you up not to meet your physical needs but your spiritual needs because eternal life is not an event, He is Jesus. He is the product which the scripture talks about. He is the only basis for our salvation for there is no other name by which you can be saved except through the name of Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the very essence of your life.  

INSTRUCTION: Develop a relationship with Jesus.

SUBJECT YOURSELF TO LEARNING

“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of knowing of whom thou hast learnt them” 2 Timothy 3:14.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: A leading man is a man who has learned to continue in what he learnt.

Information plays a critical role in every man’s life. When you are misinformed, you become susceptible to a number of vices. Distorted information makes you a prey to unscrupulous fellows; lack of adequate knowledge can bereft an heir of his inheritance. The same affects any Christian who is not well informed about his rights or knows who he is and all that Christ ahs done. The revealed knowledge of Christ should prevail in the church which is the gospel of salvation which is good news. It is the right gospel that converts a sinner. A gospel preached with love and not hate.

The gospel dispels fear and strongly establishes the state of your relationship with God. The death of Christ removed the veil that separated us from the love of God. The devil never imagined that he would face Christ in man, he never thought that God could become man and man become God. The devil realized through knowledge that he no longer has a hold on you because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. He died so you can live, became poor so you can be wealthy; He was wounded so that by His stripes you are healed. “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name”(John 1:12). Remember, sons do not beg; they demand and receive because they have access to their father’s wealth. You need to constantly seek to know more about Jesus.

INSTRUCTION: Know who you are in Christ

CHRIST IN ME

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Every child of God is a mystery to the devil.

The mystery of salvation is Christ which is the foundation of Christianity. Your new life in Christ is the essence of your being. God wrapped Himself in you at redemption; you have the very nature of God. At re-birth, everything about life is given to you; salvation is a total package. All that you need in life has been given to you, you are free from condemnation. However, you need knowledge to attain good health, wealth and good life. The spirit is the content while the body is the container. When you are born again, the spirit is free, but the soul and the body are not free, so you need knowledge to launch yourself into success. Nothing defines one’s destiny as mentality. Your destiny is not a mystery and God will not come down to move you into your destiny, you have to do something in order to arrive at God’s ordained destination.

Proverbs 4:18 says, “The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day”. Your destination is as a result of your determination. God has made plans and released provisions to you. Life is a fight and you must decide what you want. You may not have had a hand on how you were born or the family you come form but you get to decide how long you live and how good you live. Christ died at a very young age so that you may age graciously and die at a very old age. Jesus died poor that you may live wealthy (2 Corinthians 8:9). You are what you decide because your manifestation is determined by your thoughts; life functions in the direction of your thoughts. Nothing has ever failed in life. Rather, it is people with wrong mindset that fail. God expects you to make progress on daily basis. Develop a good mental capacity and walk your way into success because salvation is a total package.   

INSTRUCTION: Get the right knowledge to succeed.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive a new mindset. Amen!

YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they love it shall eat the fruit thereof”Proverbs 18:21

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:Speak God’s word over any situation and that situation will definitely change.

From inception, you have been embedded with power to declare and change whatever it is in your life you do not want. The tongue is a carrier of blessings or curses; it depends on how you choose to use it. As the word of God is a vehicle that moves God into action, use your mouth to declare His word upon any situation and watch it change. Think of this, sometimes you make random utterances and they come to pass, how much more when you speak God’s word? No problem or situation is bigger than the word of God because He is always present to bring manifestation of His word when spoken in faith.

As you wake up in the morning, declare and decide how your day will be and watch God honor His word because the words you speak are not ordinary words, but they are spirits and they are life (John 6:63). By redemption, you are connected to God because He deposited Himself in you, He lives in you; you are a co-creator. Begin to speak the word over situations, having faith that with God nothing is impossible and watch yourself take over in family life, work place and businesses.

YOU ARE A FULFILLED PROMISE

“For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled with a resounding ‘Yes’! And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “yes” ascends to God for his glory” 2Corinthians 1:20(NLT).

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of all of God’s promises.

There is need to know that there are no unfulfilled promises in God and there are no more promises waiting to be fulfilled. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of all of God’s promises. As a born again child of God, you have become an heir of God. You are a joint heir with Christ. This means that everything God has is now yours (1 Corinthians 3:21). You now live in the promises God made to Abraham. This happened the moment you received the gospel and welcomed Christ into your heart by being born again. What is expected of you now is to enjoy the blessing that is in Christ. Failure, sickness, diseases, lack, disappointment, lack and death should not and cannot be a part of your life anymore. You must consciously refuse to fail or be poor because you are wired to succeed. Fruitfulness and productivity are your birthright. The fullness of the blessings of the Gospel has been made possible and available to you in Christ. They are no more promises waiting to be fulfilled or things to hope for. Eternal life is yours NOW! Divine health is at work in you NOW! Praise the Lord!!!

If someone tells you that he will give you some money tomorrow, that’s a promise. When tomorrow comes and the person fulfills the promise, you can no longer say you were promised some money. Rather, you will say that you have received the money you were promised yesterday. The inheritance was promised in Christ. When Christ came, the promise was fulfilled. The Bible says, “And if ye be Christ’s, then ye Are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). God has already blessed you with every blessing that is in Christ. Prosperity, Victory, Divine health and eternal life are now yours in Christ. By virtue of being in Christ Jesus, all these things have been activated in you. You are no longer waiting for the fulfillment. You are already living and walking in the fulfillment of God’s promises. According to 2 Peter 1:3, “According to his divine power, hath given unto us all things that <pertain> unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that calleth us to glory and virtue”. Therefore, you must understand that all things are yours and you must consciously make good use of your inheritance in Christ Jesus.

INSTRUCTION: Never see yourself as a victim. Rule your world for you are an heir of God.

PRAYER: Father, I declare and affirm that the whole world is my inheritance. I have access to all the blessings in Christ Jesus, in Jesus name.

REDEEMED TO REIGN

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” 1 Peter 1:18-19.   

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Your reign in life is determined by the knowledge of God you have.

            The Greek word for redeemed is “lytrosis”, which means to be ransomed, delivered or rescued and that is exactly what Jesus has done by giving His life. Freedom comes by sacrifice, which is what redemption has offered us. Redemption means to buy back, to atone for a crime that is not yours and to recover by payment. At the cross, Jesus fulfilled all this and more so you can walk in total victory. By redemption, all your rights and privileges were restored and everything you desire in life and destiny will come to manifestation as you walk in the knowledge of your redemption. The essence of Christianity is Christ in you; God’s ultimate purpose was to reproduce Himself in us and He has achieved this through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. God wants you to focus on His Word through knowledge and begin to see yourself the way God sees you.

Now that you have been redeemed, how do you reign? To reign means you know and you can exercise your rights as a regenerated Christian, it means you are now living with the consciousness of all that Christ has done for you; it also means you are ready to take your place in life and fulfill destiny. A Christian who reigns commands all that Jesus paid for. The manifestation of poverty, sickness, frustration, etc in your life is proof that you have not known your rights as a child of God. Stand up and declare your new identity, speak what you want into the atmosphere and believe you have received it. Remember, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and you have been redeemed to reign in this life.

INSTRUCTION: Walk in the knowledge of your redemption.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for I have been redeemed to reign. Amen!

TAKING OVER BY THE WORD OF HIS GRACE (3)

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:10

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Until you say it, you can’t have it.

It is not enough to know God’s word as it is contained in the written pages of the Bible; you must also release power through speaking the Word. With the word on your lips, you will live over and above all limitations and circumstances. Voicing your faith is a fundamental spiritual principle, without which salvation cannot be received. To believe is not enough, there must be a corresponding verbal communication or the affirmation of your faith. When you speak the Word over that situation, you are releasing the power of God over that situation. In Joshua 1:8, God instructed Joshua not the let the book of the law depart from his mouth but he was to meditate upon it day and night. The Hebrew word for ‘meditate’ is ‘hagar’ meaning to ponder, imagine, murmur, speak, study, talk, utter or roar.

Take note that the instruction God gave to Joshua does not mention us speaking to anyone. So it makes no difference whether someone is listening to you or not, you just keep speaking the Word. When matters arise, use the Word to settle it. Use the Word and change situations. The Word of God in your mouth is God talking through you. If Christ is in you, then when you speak to that circumstance, speak with boldness and confidence. Never doubt and it will surely come to pass. God’s word never returns void. It must achieve whatever purpose it was sent for.

INSTRUCTION: Use the word of God in your mouth to change that situation.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for your word which comes with power to change situations, in Jesus Name, Amen.

TAKING OVER BY THE WORD OF HIS GRACE (2)

“And now, brethren”, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”

Acts 20:32

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Inheritance is not for children. It is for sons.

The Word of God comes to illuminate, inform and build your spirit thereby bringing you into the place God has prepared for you, helping you to understand the life you are supposed to live. The Word gives you divine insight into mysteries and secrets. So, when you are studying the Word on your own or hearing it being preached or taught, you must receive it with joy. When you receive the Word with gladness, very easily it imparts courage and faith to your spirit. The Bible makes us to understand that we have an inheritance in Christ. However, for you to use, walk and enjoy the vital reality of your inheritance in Christ, you need the Word. As you study and meditate therein, all that rightly belongs to you in Christ are not only unveiled to you, they become your vital experience. Inheritance is not for babies, it comes to those who have matured through constant study and meditation on the Word of his grace. The Bible says, “through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Proverbs 11:9). The just refers to those who have the life and nature of Christ in their spirits, those who are born again. Through the knowledge God’s word, they are delivered not from troubles but into their rightful place of inheritance.

The Word of God is what catapults you into that large place which the Psalmist spoke about in Psalm 18:19; a place of wealth, health and prosperity. It is therefore important that you get to know and possess your inheritance through the Word of his grace. You can only come into your inheritance when you take ownership of the Word of his grace. Picture this scenario: You walk into a restaurant every time to eat and you pay at the end of each meal. Wouldn’t you rather want to be the owner of that restaurant so that you can both eat to your fill without payment and also receive payment from those who come to eat in your restaurant?  God expects us to take ownership of the Word of his grace and come into our inheritance as well as dispense goodwill toward men. It is only in ownership that you can truly take over.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Jesus is the Word.

The Bible in John 1:1 records, “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. If the Word was God, and God doesn’t change, it means that the Word is still God. In verse 14 of the same chapter, the Bible says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”. The Holy Ghost had come upon the Virgin Mary, and the Word she received from the angel became flesh inside of her. That Word became a baby and grew to become the man, Jesus. So Jesus indeed is the Word of God become flesh; He’s the result of the word that was spoken to Mary. Today, when the Word comes to you, it still comes with that power and effect and produces the same results. It is God’s intention that the word becomes one with you; that it becomes flesh in you. If it is a word of healing, it is to destroy that sickness and take its place. The Word can recreate an amputated arm; the word can recreate a new womb; the word can develop new kidneys; the word can change your genotype, the word of God can literally change your heart. Receiving God’s word into your life is receiving the power of God into your life.

Don’t accept that your situation is hopeless or that you are helpless. Don’t despair or become despondent because of the state of your health or finances; you can change things with the word. Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions”. Meditate on the Word until it literally forms in you the message it bears. By constantly meditating on the word, your mind is renewed to only see, think and accept the results that the Word produces in you and for you.

INSTRUCTION: Use the word of God in your mouth to change that situation.

THE SPIRIT IS IN YOU

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: You are a carrier of the presence of God.

In the Old Testament, the children of Israel transported the presence of God from place to place every time they carried the Tabernacle of Witness, which contained the Ark of the Covenant. The only thing in the ark was God’s commandments. Today, your heart is the Ark of God; that is where the Word is. The Bible in Jeremiah 31:33, “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; after those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people”. This was fulfilled in us when we got born again. We were born again by the Word of God and became living epistles, “written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God – not in tables of stones, but with the fleshy tables of the heart” (2 Corinthians 3:3).

You are the tabernacle of His presence, “For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God and they shall be my people” (2 Corinthians 6:16). God dwells in you; you have become the carrier of His divine presence. You are God walking here on earth. God walks the earth through you and wherever you enter, God enters. Your hands are God’s hands, your foot has become God’s feet and your mouth has become His mouth. God walks and talks through you. You are in Him and He is in you. The headquarters of divinity has been relocated to your inside. Every time you show up in a place, you show up with the presence of God. As a carrier of His divine presence, you are not permitted to leave any ugly situation the same way you met it. Christ in you; the hope of Glory. Alleluia!!

INSTRUCTION: You are a walking epistle. Make sure your life sends the right message.

UNDERSTANDING SALVATION (2)

“Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow”  1 Peter 1:10-11.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross qualifies you to live the good life.

After the suffering of Christ, a life of glory ensued. You don’t need to pay any additional price to attain this life; Christ Jesus had already paid for you to enjoy this beautiful life. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross qualifies you to live the good life and be all that God wants you to be. The sacrifice of Jesus was enough. Due to that sacrifice, you have become one with God; you are now a partaker of His life and righteousness. What God expects from you now is for you to enjoy your life and live to the best of His glory. Being born again is not a call to punishment; it is a call to a good and higher life. On the Cross, before His death, Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). He announced the end of suffering to all mankind. Anyone who believes in Him and accepts His vicarious death on the cross is automatically ushered into this life of glory. Yes, Christ suffered for us. But that suffering brought us life eternal and righteousness.

The story didn’t end with His death. The Bible says, ”Thus, it behoved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day” (Luke 24:46). Therefore, rather than lament about His death, we are to celebrate His death and resurrection. It is His resurrection from the dead that gave us a new life and made us associates of the God-kind of life. God wants you to live everyday in victory. If you are sick, it is time to rise up because His suffering brought an end to sickness, diseases and infirmities. Just as death and the grave could not hold him down, nothing from the pit of darkness should be able to exert control or influence over you. Refuse to allow anything keep you in bondage. Refuse to allow poverty take a hold of you because Jesus took your place and gave you His place of riches (2 Corinthians 8:9). Whatever you could not have, be it children, jobs, breakthroughs etc, you can have them now because of the victory of Christ Jesus.

INSTRUCTION: Refuse to allow anything keep you in bondage.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross which has restored me to my life of glory, in Jesus Name. Amen.
