UNDERSTANDING YOUR DIVINE NATURE (1)

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” Colossians 1:27.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The greatest creation of God is the creation of God in a man.

Christianity is the outworking of divinity in humanity. It is the revelation of Christ in you. A Christian is who Christ literally dwells in. He is a person whose character reveals Christ. Who is this Christ? Christ is the embodiment of deity; the fullness of the Godhead, represented in Jesus. The Bible says that Jesus is the head of all principality and powers, and he lives in you. If Christ lives in you, you don’t have to be intimidated with the fear of demons. It is sad to note that some Christians are moving from one church to another seeking for a place to be delivered from demons and demonic oppressions. The Bible in Hosea 4:6, “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” No believer in Christ needs deliverance from satanic possessions. A believer in Christ cannot be possessed by demons though he can be oppressed because of his lack of knowledge. Any Christian who believes that he still needs deliverance from Satan is yet to understand his divine nature.

A believer in Christ is superior to Satan and should not be afraid of Satan or his demons. As a believer, once you find out that the devil is responsible for any situation you are facing, it makes that problem easy to solve. All you need to do is to cast him out. Mark 16:17 says, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues”. Belief in the name of Jesus empowers you to cast the devil out. You do not need any special prayer sessions to cast out the devil. Just believe in the Name of Jesus. You do not need any deliverance. The moment you came into Christ, you were already delivered. Colossians 1:12-13 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”. Before you were born again, you were already delivered from the powers of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of God’s Son. This happened legally. Christ paid for your sins openly and not in secret. Now that you are born again, Satan therefore has no jurisdiction or influence over you. You are of God and whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world.

INSTRUCTION: Be conscious of your divine nature in Christ.

PRAYER: Father, thank you delivering me from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of your Son, in Jesus name.
