SUBJECT YOURSELF TO LEARNING

“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of knowing of whom thou hast learnt them” 2 Timothy 3:14.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: A leading man is a man who has learned to continue in what he learnt.

Information plays a critical role in every man’s life. When you are misinformed, you become susceptible to a number of vices. Distorted information makes you a prey to unscrupulous fellows; lack of adequate knowledge can bereft an heir of his inheritance. The same affects any Christian who is not well informed about his rights or knows who he is and all that Christ ahs done. The revealed knowledge of Christ should prevail in the church which is the gospel of salvation which is good news. It is the right gospel that converts a sinner. A gospel preached with love and not hate.

The gospel dispels fear and strongly establishes the state of your relationship with God. The death of Christ removed the veil that separated us from the love of God. The devil never imagined that he would face Christ in man, he never thought that God could become man and man become God. The devil realized through knowledge that he no longer has a hold on you because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. He died so you can live, became poor so you can be wealthy; He was wounded so that by His stripes you are healed. “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name”(John 1:12). Remember, sons do not beg; they demand and receive because they have access to their father’s wealth. You need to constantly seek to know more about Jesus.

INSTRUCTION: Know who you are in Christ

PRAYER:  Father, thank you for granting my desires as a son in Jesus Name.

QUOTE: God qualifies the unqualified.

THERE IS SO MUCH POWER AT WORK IN YOU

“Now to him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: A believer in Christ does not have a power problem.

According to our text for today, there is so much power at work in a believer. He has the tremendous ability to do exploits through the Holy Spirit indwelling in him. The believer is never powerless or helpless at any time. A believer in Christ does not have a power problem because the greater One lives in him. The Bible makes us understand that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). The greater One lives inside of you therefore, you are greater than any forces coming against you. Whatever you permit is what will be permitted and whatever you bind is what will be bound (Matthew 18:18). Your inability to exercise your authority through the lack of knowledge is the reason for your failure and frustrations in life. There is so much power available to the believer to take charge of his world. Until you take charge of your life by the power of the spirit, you cannot be in charge. The scripture says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). If Christ is in you, then it implies that there is so much power and help inside of you for everything life brings your way.

You must learn to draw strength from within you. You must be conscious and deliberate about this. You must learn to relate with the spirit of God within you for answers and solutions to all of life’s challenges. God can do exceeding abundantly above all more than you can ever ask or think because of his power that is at work in you. This power is already on your inside. Stop looking at your father, uncle, brother or any other earthly relative for help. The help you need is already in your inside. Look inside of you; you have enough power to handle whatever is coming up against you. Believe that you are a powerhouse. Believe in the ability of God on the inside of you. There is so much power inside of you. The way to release this power is by speaking God’s Word to that situation (Mark 11:24). Learn to speak spirit-filled words and faith inspired utterances as well as praying in the Holy Ghost always. As you do this, you will begin to experience the power everyday of your life. Your life will begin to go in the direction of your words. This is how to reign in life and be in charge. It is the secret of winning the battles of life and living a life of dominion here on earth as well as taking over territories.

INSTRUCTION: Stop looking at what is up against you. Look at who is inside of you.

PRAYER: Lord, I activate your power that is in my inside to rule my world, in Jesus Name.

QUOTE: Get the Word and Rule your world.

THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” Romans 5:17

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Righteousness is the state of a man who has been declared right by God.

God is just, perfect and righteous at all times. The word, ‘just’ is translated ‘edujustice’. Also in Hebrew, ‘tsedaqah’ means to do justice and to do right. In Greek word, ‘dikaoo’ means to justify; treat as proper and to deal as right. All these words are only used for God. Abraham was declared justified by God because of his faith. God testifying of Abraham in Genesis 18:19 says, “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that which he hath spoken of him”. So, righteousness is a state of a man who has been declared right by God. Apostle Paul speaking in Romans 3:24-26 says, “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forebearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus”. The means through which God justifies a man is through the redemption that is in Christ.

Righteousness is not a good moral conduct. It is a gift of God. Righteousness is not forgiveness of sins but to be declared right. You are what you are and whatever you will be by belief. The word, ‘ungodly’ in the Greek word is ‘asebes’. It is used to refer to criminals, wicked people, morally bankrupt etc.  Righteousness is not a reward for good moral conduct; it is a gift from God. You do not pay for a gift. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”.

INSTRUCTION:Believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

PRAYER:I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: You believe to receive.

JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH

“Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 5:1.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Freedom is connected to the truth you know.

Before the arrival of Jesus, sin had been the god of this world. A perfect understanding of why Jesus came would give you freedom from the strongholds of religion. For you to win and rule, there is a need to know. Freedom is connected to the truth you know. Enough knowledge is what you need to succeed in life. A perfect understanding of the finished work on the cross will put you on the fast lane of life where no works of the enemies can slow you down. You need to know that Jesus took care of your sins once and for all. Hebrews 1:3 says, “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high”. Jesus sat down on the right hand of the Father because He was done with sin. He is God’s anointed and appointed. His triumph over sin was our freedom from death (Galatians 2:20). What produced Jesus is the Word (John 1:14). Your feelings can neither condemn nor save you. It is what you believe that either condemns or saves you. God is not emotional.  As believers, we must wake up into our rights in Christ Jesus. The devil only takes advantage of our ignorance of what Jesus has done for us.

Destiny is not fulfilled in feelings but in enough knowledge. You have no sin as recorded in Romans 8:3 which says, “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of the sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh”. Everything God provided through Christ is eternal. Christ solved the problem of sin once and for all because it takes only a sinless life to solve the problem of sin. There is no end for a man who knows what Jesus did for him at the cross. He does not live in anxiety neither is he moved by present circumstances because he believes that his saviour lives in eternity controlling space, time and seasons. He is confident that where Christ is, he is also there. Ephesians 2:6 says, ‘And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus’. Having reconciled man through redemption by Christ, God desires that all men be reconciled to Him. “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”. You must of a necessity focus on the finished work of Christ on the cross for you.

INSTRUCTION: Meditate on the finished work of Christ on the cross.

PRAYER: Lord, by your sacrifice, I silence powers questioning my freedom, in Jesus Name.

QUOTE: Everything God provided through Christ is eternal.

YOUR POSITION IN CHRIST

Monday, May 27, 2019

“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself” Luke24:27.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: A new man in Christ has only one foundation and that is Christ.

The moment you receive Jesus into your life, you are rapturable. You do not have to be afraid of rapture. As a believer in Christ Jesus, you should be excited about rapture. The entire scriptures point to Jesus. Therefore, whenever you read the Bible, you must read it with the revelation of Jesus. When you do not read the scriptures with the revelation of Jesus, the Bible becomes nothing more than a story book to you. The scriptures give us an understanding of our rights as believers in Christ Jesus. If you do not understand your right as a believer in Christ Jesus, you will still be tossed about by the doctrine of men. We must know that the foundation of every born again child of God has no fault. A regenerated man has his foundation in Christ who is a sure foundation (2Corinthians 3:14). The New Covenant foundation in Christ cannot be faulty, wrong nor destroyed. 1 Corinthians 3:11 says, ‘For other foundation can no man lay that is laid, which is Jesus Christ’.
Therefore, as a regenerated man, you can only be traced to God because you are in Christ and Christ is God. Consequently, you are not a product of the flesh; neither are you a product of repentance. You are God in a man. The whole headquarters of God has been relocated into your system. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things has passed away; behold all things are become new” (2Corinthians 5:17). Now that you are in Christ, you cannot be traced to Adam. Everything traceable to Adam in your system has been nullified. You are a new generation. Generational curses cannot be traceable to you. You have become a co-creator. You are no longer living your own life but you are living for Christ; the God kind of life (Galatians 2:20). Therefore, begin to walk in victory because you are born of God and you can overcome anything because, “Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1John 5:4).

INSTRUCTION: Awake to your new position in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for my new position in Christ Jesus, in Jesus Name.

VICTORY BY THE WORD

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” 1 John 5:4

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Victory is in Christ Jesus.

You are a victor in Christ Jesus; you were born that way. Refuse to allow the circumstances of life get you to think otherwise. You are born of God, and have therefore overcome the world and its systems: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). Through faith, you have overcome the world! What is faith? It is the evidence of unseen realities. While others may not see you as an overcomer, you know you are, because you are born of God. Your evidence is the infallible Word of God. The Spirit of God also bears you witness that you are an overcomer. Have, and live in this confidence. Anything that hails, proceeds, originates or comes from God is an overcomer. The word of God proceeds and originates from God, which means the Word is an overcomer. So, what are you supposed to do when you are faced with circumstances of life? Release the Word; it will of a certainty overcome that situation. The Word of God on your lips will destroy diseases, barrenness and death.

Get piloted on the Word; begin to fly on the Word, move by the Word. The Word of God cannot be stopped. Remember, they buried Jesus – the Word – in the grave for three days, but He came out of that grave. Even death could not hold Him captive. Hallelujah! The Word is unstoppable. It can destroy all barriers. It can go anywhere and penetrate any nation, condition or circumstance. As a new creation, you are not an ordinary being. You are born of the Word of God and that makes you the Word of God in flesh. Therefore, keep manifesting the glory of God and expressing His righteousness everywhere.

INSTRUCTION:Speak the Word of Faith in any circumstance you find yourself.

PRAYER:Father, I live by your Word. Therefore, I overcome all circumstances of life, in Jesus name.

YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

“Wherefore hence know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforeth know we him no more” 2Corinthians 5:16.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  A new creature is not a moralist.

When you come into Christ, your nature is changed from the sinful nature to the nature of God. The spirit of God dwells inside of you. Born again experience has nothing to do with having a good behavior. Morality is not Christianity. Being born again has everything to do with a change of nature. A new creature is not a moralist. He is not an unbeliever who has decided to change his behavior and live right. He is a re-born man. At new birth, God does not just fix your old life back or try to repair you; He completely replaces your old life with a new one. Therefore, a new man in Christ is not a function of renovation neither is he under construction. When you come into Christ, the old you dies and a new you comes alive. You are a total replacement. The born again experience is a death and resurrection experience. You become totally dead to sin and come alive in Christ. Therefore, you are the explicit image of God. When you come into this knowledge, you know and understand your worth. A new man in Christ is better than Adam (Luke 7:28). In his perfect state, Adam was a mere shadow. As a new creation, you cannot be traced to Adam.

You can only be traced to God because you are in Christ and Christ is God. Consequently, you are not a product of the flesh, neither are you a product of repentance. Therefore, begin to walk in victory because you are born of God and you can overcome anything because, “Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1John 5:4).

KEEP AWAY FROM BAD COMPANY

“Be not deceived: evil communication corrupt good manners” 1 Corinthians 15:33

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: An eagle in the midst of chicken will not discover his full potentials.

Many have argued that the company a person keeps does not necessarily have much impact on his or her character and destiny. They claim that many people are successful inspite of their warped lifestyles and bad behaviour. But the Bible disagrees with these notions. In fact, the Bible warns against associating with bad company. The company you keep and the kind of information you consume determines the predominant thoughts that rule your mind, and these go a long way to establish who you are and the kind of future that awaits you (Proverbs 23:7; Psalm 1:1-4). It would be a great error to think that the term ‘bad association’ only means interaction with unbelievers; it can also apply to interpersonal relationships among Christians. God wants us to shun the evil activities of the ungodly just as much as he wants us to avoid every appearance of evil.

The Bible admonishes that those who perpetrate backbiting, disobedience, rebellion and false doctrines among the brethren should be identified and avoided. Romans 16:17 says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them”. Don’t be deceived, no matter how wise or careful you think you are, your continued association with anyone who lives contrary to the word of God will eventually spell doom for you.  2 Corinthians 6:14 says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness”? Paul’s admonition to the church in Corinth is part of a larger discourse on Christian living. He discouraged them from being in an unequal partnership with unbelievers because believers are unbelievers are opposites, just as light and darkness are opposites and have nothing in common.

INSTRUCTION: Keep away from bad company.

PRAYER: Lord, I disconnect from all bad company that does not bring glory to you, in Jesus Name. Amen!!

KNOWLEDGE IMPARTS FAITH

KNOWLEDGE IMPARTS FAITH

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” John 8:32

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Your knowledge of God determines how you relate with Him.

Power is activated by knowledge. The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”. As you study and meditate on God’s Word, you do not only discover your inheritance in Christ but you also receive the faith to relate with, and enjoy all that He has made available to you in Him. Proverbs 11:9 says through knowledge shall the just be delivered. They are not only delivered from trouble, but necessarily delivered into their inheritance. It is the knowledge you have about God that determines the way you relate with Him. The Word has the capacity to build your faith. The assurance of this truth is in Act 20:32 which says, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”. The Word works and has the power to change your life from glory to glory. However, you must know the Word, and put it to work in your personal life for it to produce results for you.

This is the reason the truth of God’s Word is taught, because when people become aware of the blessings of the Word, they will be able to embrace and walk in the reality of these blessings. The knowledge of the Word imparts faith and activates the power of the Word in your life. But you can only know the Word when you hear the Word and faith only comes by hearing the Word. Romans 10:10 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing; and hearing by the Word of God

INSTRUCTION: Study to know the Word of His Grace.

PRAYER: Lord, I declare that the Word is working in me producing divine results in me, in Jesus Name. Amen!!

BLESSED IN CHRIST

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” Ephesians 1:3.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The source of God’s blessings for man is Jesus.

The blessing of God is not in material things like cars, houses, clothes, shoes. The blessing of God is not even when you have money. Jesus is the blessing of God to man. Jesus is the store house of the blessing. You are not blessed because you go to church; you are only blessed when you are in Christ. God’s blessing is unconditional. When God blesses you, you remain blessed for life. God cannot change his mind toward blessing you for the gift of God are without repentance (Romans 11:29). All you have to do is to believe and receive Christ. It is your belief in Christ that guarantees your blessing. If you are in Christ, your blessing has no measure. It is abundant, overflowing and without limits. ‘And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work’ (2Corinthians 9:8).

Today’s text states that God hath already blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. This means that it is in Christ that we are truly blessed. Every riches outside Christ is not a blessing. Philippians 4:19 says ‘And my God will supply all your needs according to his own riches in glory by Christ Jesus’. The blessing of God is perfect. No other addition is needed to make it perfect. Christ is the perfect gift of God to humanity. No extra thing is required to make him perfect. Christ is the greatest expression of God’s love towards man. John 3:16 says, ‘For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son….’ It is the “so love” of God that made Christ to die for us. The love of God to us is expressed in the gift of Christ. You see it was out of love that God gave Jesus to die for you even when you were rotten deep in sin. In the love of God there is eternal life for you. In His love, there is wealth and riches for you (2Cor 8:9). In His love, there is healing and perfect health for you (Is. 53:5) everything you need is this life and after this life is found in God’s love (2cor.9:8). All you need is to believe in that love he has provided for you and you will be counted among the saved and then harvest all that is there in the love.

INSTRUCTION: Believe that you are saved.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for blessing me sufficiently in Jesus Name.

KNOWING WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Until you know, you cannot take.

The knowledge of who you are in Christ is so vital. It is an important ingredient in having a right attitude and mentality towards the challenges you might face in life and living above circumstances of life. There are many Christians who are not appropriating the benefits of Christianity because they lack a precise and accurate knowledge of who they are in Christ. They do not even understand who a Christian is literally. They think for example, that a Christian is a religious person who goes to church religiously. But a Christian is much more than this. A Christian is one in whom Christ dwells. He is someone in whom, and through whom, the kingdom of God is manifested. He is a carrier of divinity; a partaker of the divine nature. Once you understand and come to terms with this reality, your life begins to have new meaning as you go through life with hope and gladness irrespective of your present circumstances. This is why it is important that you understand God’s Word, what the Word says about you and live your life accordingly.

The Bible says that Jesus wasn’t just delivered to death for our sins only, He was also raised for our justification (Romans 4:25). To be justified means to be declared right, to have a right standing and to be declared not guilty. This means that in the mind of justice, in the eyes of God, you never sinned; therefore there are no charges against you. You are now holy and unreproveable in the sight of God (Colossians 1:22). You are now a creature. A new creature has no past (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are a brand new species of being that has never existed before. You are not an improvement or a renovation of Adam. You are a brand new man recreated anew. This is why God can declare you discharged and acquitted because there is nothing to judge since you now have a brand new life. You are not a product of the death and burial of Christ but you are a product of His resurrection. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus graced to reign and exercise dominion over Satan and his cohorts of darkness.

INSTRUCTION: Don’t be sin conscious. It has been taken care of.

PRAYER: I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, in Jesus Name. Amen!!

QUOTE: You are a product of resurrection.

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT

“For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” Romans 8:2

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The law of the Spirit of life suspends the law of sin and death

When the law of the spirit of life is activated in your life via believe in Christ Jesus, it suspends every other law that sin had activated in your life before. It gives you opportunity to access a new life full of joy, peace and rest in Christ. When a man believes and receives Christ into his life, he becomes a new man. The scripture says that he becomes translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:12). Sin brought death to the world and the penalty of sin was death (Romans 6:23). Man therefore became a captive of sin and death. He could not help himself. No captive can bail himself out of prison. It takes only a free man to pay the ransom to free the captive. So man needed help. He needed someone to pay the price for him. Jesus had to pay the price to redeem man from the captivity of sin and death. Since God is a God of justice, He had to send His Son to meet the demands of the law. The demand of the law stipulated that every soul that sinneth must die (Ezekiel 18:4). Jesus had to surrender himself to bear the sins of the world, die a gruesome death on the cross and pay the price for man’s sin. By this means, anybody who comes into Christ is not permitted to die eternally.

If you are in Christ Jesus, you are no longer subject to death. Looking at Revelation 6:8 you will understand that death was empowered to destroy men via hunger, wars, sicknesses etc. As a new man in Christ, all these predicaments are not permitted to be effective in your life. This is because what defines your life as a new man in Christ is not in what you can do but in what God has done for you in Christ. You have nothing to contribute for your freedom; everything has been freely given to you. God does not place any demands on you. Satan is afraid of you knowing who you are in Christ because he uses the fear of death to hold men captive. The day you come into the knowledge of who you are in Christ, Satan becomes afraid of you. As a new man in Christ, you can nullify the works of the devil. You were not born again of a corruptible seed but of the incorruptible word of God which defiles all negative laws made by Satan via the introduction of sin.

INSTRUCTION: Study the word to know the law you are operating in.

PRAYER:  Every power and law of death over my life is broken, in Jesus name!

QUOTE: Knowledge is what keeps you intact in the law of the spirit of life.

A BELIEVER IN CHRIST IS A LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT

“So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being, the last Adam, a life giving spirit” 1 Corinthians 15:45 (NIV)

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: As a believer in Christ, you are one with him and have therefore become a life-giving spirit as He is.

Jesus Christ is the last Adam. He is a life-giver, and because He lives in you by the Holy Spirit, and has given you the same life as His, you are also a life-giver. The born again Christian is not an ordinary man. He is one with Christ. Jesus Christ never left anyone in doubt as to his purpose and mission on earth. In John 10:10 (NIV), he declares, “…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”. Jesus came to give eternal life to whosoever believes in Him (John 10:28). No wonder, in our text for today, He is referred to as the life-giving Spirit. As a believer in Christ Jesus, you are one with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “…he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit”. This means that as a born again Christian, you have become one spirit with the Lord, as He is, so are you (1John 4:17). Therefore, you are also a life-giving spirit. Not only has He made you a partaker of His life, you are also a dispenser or distributor of eternal life.

It is your life’s purpose to bring ther lost into the life of righteousness through the Gospel. 2 Timothy 1:10 lets us know that Jesus Christ has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Eternal life is unveiled through the preaching of the Gospel. You bear the words of life. As you speak, the salvation and righteousness of God are revealed. Jesus said in John 20:21, “…as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you”. He has chosen you to manifest the God-life to the nations of the world. He has sent you as a bearer of His gospel, to bring the lost into the liberty of the Sons of God, into the glorious life in Christ.

INSTRUCTION: You are a life-giving spirit. Therefore dispense life wherever you go to.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making me a dispenser and distributor of eternal life and the eternal realities of your kingdom, in Jesus Name. Amen!!

GOD’S WORD: A MIRROR FOR THE NEW CREATION

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” 2Corinthians 3:18.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The Word of God reflects the true nature, identity, origin and heritage of a new creation in Christ.

To the new creation, the Word of God is a mirror, and not a compilation of commandments to be obeyed. The Christian is a Word practitioner. Many Christians misunderstand Ephesians 5:3-4 which says, “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be named amongst you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks”. This is not a commandment of what a believer must not do. Rather it is showing you who you are; the righteousness of God in Christ. The Word of God reflects the true nature, identity, origin and heritage of a new creation in Christ. The more you look at the Word, the more you see yourself. Being born again and having received the Holy Spirit, the love of God is spread abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5). We are not just commanded to love but we are the offspring of love. Love is our nature. Whenever we read something in the New Testament that sounds like, ‘Don’t do this or don’t do that’, it means we are those who don’t do such things because it is not in our nature to do them.

The Word of God, particularly the Epistles paints a picture of who a new creation is. As a new creation, we naturally come to abhor what Christ abhors. If Christ abhors fornication, it comes naturally to a new creation to abhor fornication. Whatever God hates, is what a New Creation hates. You cannot love doing what God hates because as a New Creation, you are the expression of the unseen Christ, the brightness of His glory. As Christ is, so are you in this world. You are one with Christ. As you meditate on the scriptures, the Word suddenly comes alive to you and as you discover who you are in the Word, you discover you beauty and your glory increases. This is the make-up of a new creation. The life of a new creation moves from glory to glory through the Word never changing.

INSTRUCTION: Constantly meditate on the Word.

PRAYER: Lord, let your Word take root in my heart and transform my life, in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: A Worded Christian is a prevailing Christian.

SEE BEYOND THE ORDINARY

‘For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he’. – Proverbs 26:7

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Your thoughts are creative platform for you to see beyond the ordinary.

A man with a vision is a man with a dream. Vision is the mental picture of the future. Destiny can never be fulfilled outside vision. The size of a man’s vision determines the size of his life and destiny. Without vision, life cannot be well defined. Vision is the compass that directs you to your destination. It is not possible to experience in reality what is not available in your mentality. If it does not cross your mind, it cannot cross your life. You cannot be blessed outside what God reveals. It is what you see that guarantees your end. It is your vision that empowers you for a life of maximum impact. What you see determines your pursuit in life and your pursuits determine your achievements in life. How far you go in life is determined by how far you can see.

Time and again God has always demanded from man to see beyond his environment into the future. When Abraham’s Nephew, Lot, left him,“And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever” (Genesis 13:14-15). In chapter 15 verse 5 of Genesis, instead of God giving Abraham a son as He had promised, the Bible says, “And He brought him forth abroad, and said,  Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” This is a clear indication that God is not only interested in blessing you, but He wants you to have a better vision of His availability, and abilities and also His boundless powers to make available for you whatHe has promised. God also asked Jeremiah, “what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD untome, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” It is the vision you have that brings God into action in your life.

Vision guarantees safety but lack of it is destruction (Proverbs29:18).Your visual capacity determines your usefulness in life.   What occupies your heart determines what is attracted to your life. What a man sees determines what God gives. Vision is the fuel for speed in life. Get vision for it is needful to your arrival in destiny.

INSTRUCTION:Write the vision down.

PRAYER: Lord, enlarge my positive thinking capacity, in Jesus name!

QUOTE:Until you begin to see beyond the ordinary, you cannot be extraordinary in life.
