“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the
express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins; sat down on the right hand of the
Majesty on high” Hebrews 1:3.
LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Christ is a mystery that must be revealed to
the church.
What Jesus did for us and what He is still doing for us remains a mystery. This mystery needs to be revealed to the church so that the church can enjoy all the benefits of what He has done for us. Apostle Paul speaking in Ephesians 1:18 (NLT) says, “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called – his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance”. All the Pauline prayers were on knowledge and revelation. It is possible to be in church and not have a revelational knowledge about Jesus. Until the mystery of Christ is revealed, it is of no use whatsoever to the believers and to the hearers. In the synoptic gospel, people had a faith based on senses about Jesus. Faith does not function in senses but in the heart.
Apostle
Paul had a revelation about Jesus and the whole world is yet to recover from
his revelation. He speaking in Galatians 1:12 (NLT) says, “I received my message from no human
source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from
Jesus Christ”. Christ is a mystery that must be revealed to the
church(Ephesians 3:1-7). Hence, Paul speaking IN Colossians 1:26-27 says, “Even
the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made
manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the
glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you: the hope of
glory”. Christ in you means God reproducing Himself in a new creation.
As a new creation, you are the glory of God.
INSTRUCTION: Believe that you are saved.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank
you revealing yourself to me. Amen.
QUOTE: There is no
blessing outside Christ.
