THE REVELATION OF CHRIST (2)

“And he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables” Mark 4:11 (NKJV)

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Sins are forgiven only in Christ.

Jesus Christ became a great Substitution for us. Substitution means an exchange. Christ exchanged His life for us. God began the plan of redemption even before the foundation of the world. When a believer arrives in Christ, God does not look at his sins anymore. He doesn’t even remember. Sins are forgiven only in Christ. This is the great substitution. Sin is not real to a believer but only to unbelievers. John 5:24 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”. We were slaves to sin but God in His love made Christ to be the offering for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). The moment you arrive in Christ, you are no longer under condemnation (Romans 8:1). Everything God does is in a person, and that person is Christ. Every born again child of God is a product of God’s Word. God’s Word is already at work in him, because that is his nature (1 Peter 1:23). The Holy Spirit is the confirmation in the heart of the believer that he is born again.

Christ is now seated on the right hand of God interceding on behalf of believers as our High Priest. A great number of believers do not know what Christ is doing for them and this is why they become victims of life and they cannot enforce their redemption. You cannot know that you have an High Priest or an advocate and you do not engage or enforce that knowledge. Paul reveals that our assignment here on earth is to reconcile men unto God. For God has given unto us all the ministry of reconciliation. We are to save souls and bring them to Christ just as Christ saved us from sin and reconciled us back to God.

INSTRUCTION: Get to know Christ.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for revealing the mysteries of the kingdom to me,in Jesus Name. Amen!!

QUOTE: If it makes sense, it cannot be God.
