“Blessed be the God and
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual
blessings in heavenly places in Christ”(Ephesians 1:3)
LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The greatest need of a believer is the need for knowledge.
God has given to man everything he
would need in life, and has placed all things under his control. Throughout the
teachings of Paul, he never prayed for the church (believers) to have things,
but that the church (believers) should come to the knowledge of what they
already have (Ephesians 1:15-23). The Bible records in 1 Corinthians 3:21 that
all things are yours. It is wrong for any believer to think, conclude or say
that God is keeping back some good things from him or delaying answers to his
prayers for some reasons. You must understand that everything is already yours.
God has already blessed you with all spiritual blessings in Christ. Once you
come into Christ, you have come into the blessings of God. The greatest need of
a believer is the need for knowledge. Remember the father of the prodigal son,
who told the faithful son that all that he (the father) had already belonged to
the son including the fat cow that was killed for the prodigal son on his
return. And that the son could as well have killed the fattest cow and eaten
it, except that the faithful son did not know that all things belong to him.The
Bible tells us that HE who spared not His only begotten son, but gave him up
for us all, how shall he not with him also, freely give us all things (Romans
8:32). God according to his divine power, has already given us all that
pertains to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us
to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). This is amazing. This means that if things
are not working for you, God is not to be blamed. It is because you have not
yet understood the true benefits of the realities of been in Christ and
therefore not exercising your rights and authority.
In Ephesians 1:17-18, Apostle Paul prayed “That
the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the
spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his
calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”.
The riches of his inheritance are in the saints and every believer is a saint.
Therefore, you have a choice to all things. Christ has made available for us
all things and the moment you come into Christ, all things are yours. For you
to enjoy these things, you must acknowledge every good thing that is in you
which is in Christ (Philemon 1:6). So you need to enforce what Christ has made
available for you by acknowledging every good thing in you through faith and
positive declarations.
INSTRUCTION:Get to know what you carry.
PRAYER:Father, thank you for all the
blessings you have given me in Christ, in Jesus Name, Amen.
QUOTE:God gave you brain so that you would
not blame him.
