JESUS: THE RESSURECTION AND THE LIFE
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and
the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And
whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
John11:25-26.
LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The arrival of resurrection is the exit of the
old nature.
Resurrection is not an event but a person. Resurrection is eternal life. There is no kind of situation nor circumstance that cannot respond to the voice of life. John 11:43-44 says, “And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said unto them, loose him, and let him go”. That was the hopeless situation of Lazarus but that hopeless situation received life at the arrival of the Resurrection. Resurrection is the nature of God at work in us. It is God dispensing His own life to the dying world (Romans 8:2-4; Romans 7:15). Resurrection is salvation. This is because without the resurrection of Jesus from the grave, there is no way we would have been saved from our sin. Romans 1:16-17 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall live by faith”.
Resurrection
also makes righteousness available to us and this is our bill of rights.
Righteousness grants us boldness when asking God for anything. Resurrection
makes power available. John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he
power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name”.
The reason you are a son of God is to display power. Christianity is not a mere
religion. It is a display of power. You need to be equipped with knowledge to
demonstrate this power that you carry as a son of God. Resurrection is our
Christian life. Ephesians 2:16 (MSG) says, “Christ brought us together
through his death on the cross. The cross got us to embrace and that was the
end of the hostility”.
INSTRUCTION: Believe in the finished work of Jesus.
PRAYER: Lord, by the
power of your resurrection, I command every dead good thing in my life to come
alive, in Jesus Name.
QUOTE: Your ticket to
rapture is belief.
