“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider
the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus. Who was faithful
to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house” Hebrews
3:1-2
LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Jesus Christ has become our mercy seat.
Jesus Christ is not our High Priest for nothing. He has been
duly authorized to minister in holy things. He is also given to offering
sacrifices to God and also to receive from man to God. This means that he is
standing between God and man. Jesus has become our mercy seat. Therefore, as a
believer in Christ, you do not have a sin problem. John 1:29 says, “Behold
the lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world”. Sin is a
nature and is strange to God because God never created it. Sin is an enemy to
God and this is the reason Jesus came to destroy the enemy of God. Apostle Paul
speaking in Hebrews 9:26 (NLT) says, “if that had been necessary, Christ would
haqve had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for
all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death
as sacrifice”. As our High Priest, Jesus has compassion on the ignorant
and intercedes for them to come to knowledge. Hebrews 5:1-2 says, “For
every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining
to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: who can have
compassion on the ignorant, for that he himself also is compassed with
infirmity”.
God is a God of knowledge and for you to relate with Him, you
must know Him (1 Samuel 2:3). Christ is not felt, He is known. When you come
into the knowledge of the truth, you will know the hope of His calling. You
will also know the riches of the glory of His inheritance as well as know the
exceeding greatness of His resurrection (Ephesians 1:18).
INSTRUCTION:Stay in the finished work of Christ.
PRAYER:Lord, thank you for always standing
in the gap for me, in Jesus Name.
QUOTE: You are a captive by ignorance and a
captain by knowledge.
