“Therefore we conclude that a man is
justified by faith without the deeds of the law” – Romans 3:2
LIGHT FOR NOW: Law is helpless where faith in Christ is at work.
Your journey in life as a Christian is that of honour because
what the law could not do for you, Christ has done it in redemption. The
Christian journey is a journey of faith and not a journey of what you can do or
what you cannot do. Law magnifies your inabilities to help yourself but faith
in Christ Jesus reduces your effort and magnifies the abilities of Christ in
you. Romans 3:20 says, “therefore by the deeds of the law there
shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for the law is the knowledge of sin”.
The law cannot bring justification. Only faith in Christ brings justification.
Law is helpless where faith in Christ is at work. When you receive Christ into
your life, you receive a not guilty verdict. Jesus became a propitiation
through faith just as it is written in Romans 3:24-25, “being justified freely by his
grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; whom God hath sent set
forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his
righteousness for the remission of sins that have passed through the
forebearance of God”.
Faith is the door that ushers you into the justification made
possible by the blood of Jesus Christ as the mitigation, satisfaction, or grant
to the demands of the law. The law demanded that man should die as a penalty
for sin for the wages of sin is death. But faith in the finished work of Christ
brings you into a place of no condemnation where you stand right before God. In
Romans 8:33, the Bible says, “Who shall lay any charge to God’s elect? It
is God that justifieth”. Therefore, walk in this consciousness that you
have been justified by faith in Christ Jesus. Never allow the condemnation in
the law make you lose sight or focus of your justification.
INSTRUCTION: Never lose focus of your justification.
Prayer: Lord, in you I am justified, in Jesus Name!
QUOTE: Your ability in the law is a disability until your faith in Christ receives ability.
