THE DYNAMICS OF A NEW CREATION

“Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things are become new” 2Corinthians 5:17.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: God does not live in heaven but He lives in you.

There has been a lot of confusion in the church about who a new man in Christ is. The world has come to see a new man in Christ as an ordinary man because of wrong information. Until we have a deep knowledge of who a born again creature is, we will not be able to function fully in the power of God. A deep understanding of whom a born again creature is can be determined by how you relate with God or how you see God. Born again experience is a called experience. The Holy Spirit lives in a reborn man to lead and guide that life. The moment you receive God into your life, the Holy Spirit begins to live in you. It is the new birth that makes a difference between the old covenant and the new covenant. The most powerful creation of God is the rebirth of man. The rebirth of man is what Satan cannot comprehend. It is a mystery to Satan how God became man and man becomes God. This is what Satan cannot handle. Therefore, a born again child of God is a mystery to Satan. The devil has no right to predict you. As a new creation, you become unpredictable and unstoppable by the devil and his agents.

God does not live in Heaven but He lives in you. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says; “What! Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not you own?” The rebirth of the human spirit makes it possible for us to be filled with the Holy Ghost. You cannot live right until He lives in you. The life you have at new birth is called light because that is your new nature. Your life as a new creation is connected to that light. A born again creature cannot be controlled by the forces of darkness. John 1 vs 4-5 says, “In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shinneth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not”. What brought darkness to man was sin. Therefore, whatever can handle sin can also handle darkness. How fast and how far you go in life is a function of the kind of light you have. A car with a bad light cannot drive fast. A new creation is guided by God because God by nature is light.

INSTRUCTION: Go ahead and prosper.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to connect my life to your light, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: How far you go in life is determined by the kind of light you have.

THE MYSTERY OF SALVATION

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God”

Romans 12:2

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Your mind is the designer of your life.

A re-birth or re-generation, everything about life is given to a believer. All that can make life easy and beautiful is given to you at new birth. Salvation comes with a total and comprehensive package. You however need a right mind-set to access these packages. When you received Jesus into your life, you received the life of the Spirit into your life. The Spirit is the source of the content; the soul is the content, while the body is the container. When you are saved, it is your spirit that is free. But you need to consciously work on your mind to launch yourself into success. Whatever that can access your mind can access your future. Nothing defines one’s destiny as mentality. Your destiny is not a mystery and God will not come down to move you into your destiny. You have to consciously work it out. It is the will of God that you make progress daily.

God does not live in Heaven but He lives in you. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says; “What! Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not you own?” The rebirth of the human spirit makes it possible for us to to be filled with the Holy Ghost.

WEALTHY BY REDEMPTION

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” 2Corinthians 8:9.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Every situation has already been settled by God but we can only come into it by knowledge.

There is no fear in knowledge. The presence of fear is an indication of the absence of knowledge. In redemption, there is a mark placed on your life to mark you out of all assaults of life. God always prepares His people ahead of time for any situations of life. We serve a God of exemption (Psalms 91:7). Redemption is not an emotional issue but it is a legal issue. The mark you carry determines what follows you. There is a mark that allows either goodness or evil to come your way. By redemption, you have been marked as a peculiar citizen of the earth. There is nothing that you desire that should not be given to you. Jesus did not die for you to live a beggarly, miserably life. You need adequate knowledge to survive in these times. You are not what you are by what you have, but by what you learn. By redemption, you are not permitted to walk in poverty; rather, you are to live in dominion. You have been called out by redemption to live a marvellous life (1Peter 2:9). God has already settled every situation but you need to come into that settlement through knowledge. What you know has a way of bringing what you need to succeed in life.

Our success here on earth works on a platform. What we do here on earth determines the result we have. God’s covenant of wealth is eternal, but it is our choice to prosper. Every seed of Abraham is to walk in prosperity. Isaac was great even in the midst of scarcity (Genesis 26:1-5). As a born again child of God, the world is not to pity you but to envy you (Genesis 41:57; Genesis 42:1; Genesis 43:12). Your financial dominion is the key to your triumphant life in times of economic meltdown. By redemption, you have been empowered to prosper. Salvation is a comprehensive package. God did not save us to live below standards. You must consciously rise up and determine to succeed even in the midst of nothing. God gave you a brain so that you will not blame him. You must think your way to prosperity. Above all, you must remember God for it is he that gives you power to make wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). Power here refers to the ideas, creativity and imaginations of your heart. You have been wired by divinity to prosper. Therefore, refuse to live below God’s standard for your life.

INSTRUCTION: Go ahead and prosper.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive knowledge to succeed in life, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: God gave you a brain so that you wont blame Him.

YOU ARE FREE THROUGH BELIEF IN CHRIST

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” John 8:36

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  Redemption makes you free.

You will never know the value of your freedom until you lose it. Men who are not free live in fear. There is freedom in redemption. A kidnapped man is deprived of his freedom until a redemptive price is paid. Adam mortgaged his freedom and that of his descendants to Satan. But Christ repurchased man; He paid the redemptive price and freed man! An understanding of the liberty associated with your redemption will compel you to be grateful to God. Redemption dispels all fears and offers you eternal life. Jesus Christ paid the price and set you free. Jesus speaking in John 8:31-32 said, “if ye continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Jesus was addressing the Jews who believed in Him. This shows that If you do not believe in Jesus Christ, then freedom is far from you. In all His teachings, Christ emphasized on the need for belief or faith. Your freedom is connected to your knowledge of the Truth. It is the truth you know and believe that guarantees your freedom. Until you know that Christ, by redemption has set you free, you will still continue to live in bondage. The truth is, your audacity is fueled by the knowledge you have. Until you know, you cannot overcome.

When you know that the hand of the Almighty God is on you, you will never cower in fear. Are you not in Christ? If you are, then your moral should be high. Whenever you are confronted with a problem, speak aloud to your spirit man that “it shall be well with the righteous” (Isaiah 3:10). No matter the situations of life, be rest assured that you are more than a conqueror. Above all, the scripture says, “Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed” (Romans 10:11). The rendition of this scripture in the Amplified Version infers that no man who believes in Christ, adheres to Him, relies on and trusts Him will ever be put to shame. As the Gospel of Christ is spread to all corners of Nigeria, Nigeria will not see shame. With the knowledge of Christ permeating through all facets of Nigerian economy in particular and the world at large; we are more than conquerors.

INSTRUCTION: Believe in Christ Jesus and you are free.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for my freedom, in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: Freedom guarantees life.

YOU ARE VICTORIOUS

“And on that cross, Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities; he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession” Colossians 2:15 GNT

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  The resurrection of Jesus Christ guarantees our victory.

The resurrection of Christ from the dead was the greatest event of eternity. The cross remains a symbol of Satan’s defeat. Jesus Christ died, was buried and he rose again. He conquered hell and stripped Satan of all his sham authority. Jesus got back the dominion that Satan took from man at the fall of Adam. You died with Christ, was crucified with him and rose again with him. You were with him in that victory over Satan. It was your victory not His. He did not need to fight that battle, but he fought it for you. Just as Jesus conquered Satan, you too can do it. You have gained mastery over the works of the devil. The resurrection of Jesus was the end of the era of defeat and a new era of victory. You need to understand what Christ did for us and what it means to be identified with him. It is time to appreciate the position in which he has placed us and the authority he has given us in His name.

The provisions of our victory are beyond just being declared a winner. Jesus defeated Satan and made us righteous victors. By that defeat, he made us kings to reign in the realm of life where Satan can no longer be lord over us and where disease is under our feet. We are New Creation Sons and all things are ours (1Corinthians 3:21). We are victorious. We are not trying to be victorious but we have already been declared victorious. This means that we are fighting that battle already from the victory point. If God can not suffer defeat, we cannot suffer defeat. Victory is ours because of our position in Christ Jesus. Alleuyia!!!

INSTRUCTION: Walk in the victory Christ had purchased for you.
PRAYER: Lord, by faith, I am victorious in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: If God cannot be defeated, you cannot be defeated.

CHRIST PAID FOR OUR FREEDOM

“When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, woman, where are thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, no man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more” John 8:10-11.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Jesus paid the price for our freedom through His death on the cross.

To be free means to obtain without any payment. It means to have another pay the price you couldn’t pay in order to let you go. It also means not enslaved or imprisoned; to be free from obstruction or any form of blockage. The death of Jesus paid for all our freedom but it is the knowledge in the liberty that Christ has provided that guarantees our freedom (Galatians 5:1; Romans 8:1). Spiritual freedom brings about physical manifestations in all our endeavours. Believers in Christ need to know that the bill for their freedom has been paid in full. Accepting Jesus brings freedom. You can only be free as a son of God. Responsible sons in the spirit are free because they are empowered. Freedom comes to men of understanding and not church goers (John 8:36). It is your redemption that brings about the totality of your freedom. According to today’s text, the woman was caught in the very act of adultery and she must have thought that was her end. According to the law, she was supposed to be stoned to death. But by the divine mercies of God, her accusers did not know that they were bringing her to her freedom.

To be free, you must ultimately accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. The woman in today’s text acknowledged Jesus as Lord. When you acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, no other power can keep you in bondage (1John 3:8). You must consciously be mindful of what Jesus did for you at the cross.  It is the knowledge of the liberty you have that guarantees your victory. The devil will only take advantage of your ignorance of who you are in Christ. When you don’t know your rights as a believer in Christ Jesus, you become a plaything in the hands of the devil. But when the devil knows that you are aware of your position in Christ, he stays away. It is your responsibility to know that you are free and that Satan no longer has any stronghold on you. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).

INSTRUCTION: Don’t be ignorant of your freedom.

PRAYER: Lord, I stand fast in the liberty you have provided for me in Jesus Name.

QUOTE: He whom the son of man sets free is free indeed.

FREEDOM VIA THE WORD OF GOD!

“The entrance of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.”                  – Psalm 119:130

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Until the Word is understood, freedom cannot be guaranteed.

When the word is preached the light shines. The teachings of the Word of God communicate light. This means that the teachings of the Word of God bring insight, understanding and discernment to the ignorant. Of course, it is of great importance that every believer discerns the time. Believers should not wait to be encouraged by anyone. It is expected of them to rise to responsibility in the Church, their family lives and career.

Until the Word of God is accessible in a place, such a location can never see light. Physically speaking, the emergence of light is the automatic exit of darkness. This is applicable to all situations and at all locations globally. Similarly, in a spiritual sense, when people get an understanding from the Word of God, they do away with former unprofitable belief; refrain from unproductive habits and addictions. The Word of God has a transforming power in the lives of believers. Also, the Word of God redeems people from bondages. The light emanating from the Word of God frees people; enabling them to know whom they are in Christ Jesus. John 8:32 says ‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free’. And again, ‘If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed’ (John 8:36). You cannot have an encounter with the Word of God and you remain the same.

The Word of God is not in print. The Bible is the Manual that explains the Word of God. The Word of God lives forever; and is indestructible. The Word of God is a personality. Jesus is the Word of God. Apostle John by revelation spoke of Him saying ‘And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God’ (Revelation 19:13). Whosoever has an encounter with Jesus can never remain the same. Jesus transforms, restores and redeems life. The Word of God frees man from satanic operations. The devil cannot stand the presence of Jesus Christ because light cannot stand darkness. Your freedom is tied to your relationship with Christ Jesus. The glorious presence of Jesus Christ is the only guarantee for your eternal redemption. Hallelujah!

INSTRUCTION: Have a personal relationship with Jesus.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the redemption by Jesus Christ, in the name Jesus name.

QUOTE: The Word of God is not in print: He is a personality.

ONE WITH CHRIST

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the first born from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence.” Colossians1:18.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: You and Christ are one; one body one spirit

Christ is the head of the church and you are the church which is His body. So, Christ and His church are one just as the head and the body are one. God sees Christ, the head, as perfect so also you, as His body,is perfect. In other words, you cannot assume that Christ is accepted by God and His body not accepted by Him! The measure of Jesus’ acceptance by God is the measure of your acceptance by God. So, it makes no sense to say that the head is well but the body sick, that the head is rich but the body in lack or that the head is at rest but body full of stress. Friends, what Jesus is before God, that is exactly who you are to the father. As Jesus Christ is, so are you in this world (1John 4:17).Today, God wants you to lay claim on Christ being your head. Start believing that by all His perfection, and the delight and joy that He brings to the Father’s heart, He has set your account – Jesus has put you right with God! And you will begin to realize that as Jesus is the sweet smelling savor to the Father, so are you.

The more you begin to see that you are one with Christ the more you become like Him. If you are sick in your body, Christ your head will impart His healing virtue to you. If you lack wisdom, Christ your head imparts His wisdom to you. If you lack anything, Christ your head will give you His exceeding riches. The Bible says; “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3John2). Christ as your head is the perfect will of the Father, so are you as His perfect body. In God’s perfect will, there is no sickness, poverty or death. So there should be no sickness, poverty or death traceable to you because you are God’s perfect will. The will of God is not abstract; the will of God in Christ is you. Therefore, if you are in Christ, you are the will of God. In the will of God, nothing gets missing, lacking, broken or spoil. You are one body, one soul and one spirit with Christ. Anyone that sees you sees Christ. You are not separated from Him. You move, live and have your being in Him. Let this rich mind-set and revelation be in you that Christ and you are one. You can never be separated from Christ your head from whom comes all the supply you need.

INSTRUCTION: Declare Christ now and become one with Him!

PRAYER:  Lord, I declare my oneness with Christ, in Jesus name!

QUOTE: The will of God is not abstract; the will of God in Christ is you.

YOU ARE FREE INDEED

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”-John 8:36.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The knowledge of your liberty in Christ Jesus guarantees your freedom.

The word ‘Freedom’ means liberty, being free to carry out a task. Freedom means not being obstructed; without blockage. A truly free person has no entanglement anywhere, which may impair his ‘free’ status. This is the status accorded to citizens who have not committed anything unlawful against his or her nation or against a fellow citizen or an entity therein. These are the ‘free citizens’ of the State! These one are accorded all their rights and privileges! Man through disobedience, has made himself a slave to Satan. God in His infinite mercy made plans and redeemed him from the devil’s paws. By the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, man has re-gained his original righteous standing with God. In effect, the son of God has indeed set man free as shown in today’s text! Therefore, everyone who believes in the redemptive work of Christ is both spiritually and physically free. Spiritual freedom brings about physical manifestation in all your endeavours.

The truth is, your liberty determines your audacity. Liberty fuels authority. Only responsible sons are free because they have been empowered to become sons. Sons have been endued with supernatural power to take charge. Freedom comes to men of understanding. The Bible says, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily were foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God”(1Peter 1:18-20).

It is not enough to be free; you must know of a truth that you are free indeed. For Scripture says; “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).You are free indeed in Jesus name

INSTRUCTION: Fight whatever hinders your freedom.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the freedom you have given me, in Jesus Name.
QUOTE: What you know determines what you overcome.

FREEDOM IS IN CHRIST

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” Romans 5:17.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The basis of our deliverance is the suffering of Christ.

Without sin, there would be no death. The message of Christ is the message of freedom from sin and death. The state of being free from sin is salvation. The devil cannot have access to our life without sin. Jesus removed sin from our lives through the sacrifice on the cross. This brought us freedom from sin and death. Christ did not just save you, He keeps you saved. God is saving those who are believers for resurrection in salvation. It is part of our rights as believers in Christ Jesus to have forgiveness of sins. Salvation in Christ protects us from the wrath of God. God shows us His kindness only in Christ. The Book of Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. As believers, we must see ourselves in the mirror of Christ. The deliverance power of God was evident in the life of Paul and Silas when they were thrown into the prison for preaching the gospel and sentenced to death the following day. God by His supernatural power and commitment to saving His own, brought them out from prison mysteriously unhurt (Acts 16:23-26).

Beloved, God did not call us to kill us. He did not save us to slay us; rather, He called us to keep us. You cannot be serving God and still be afflicted at the same time. It is abominable to redemption to live in afflictions and miseries as a redeemed child of God. How did Jesus deal with sin? Hebrews 2:14-15 (NLT) tells us that, “Because God’s children are human beings – made of flesh and blood- the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying”. Satan uses fear to bring death and he does that by creating bad pictures in your mind and makes you believe they are real. As a believer in Christ Jesus, you must rebuke the bad circumstances created by the devil (Matthew 8:26; Mark 4:40). As a believer in Christ, you have what it takes to handle matters of life. You have the authority to stop the operations of the devil in your life. The basis of our deliverance is the suffering of Christ. Jesus made the devil ineffective, invalid and inoperative (Colossians 2:15). Therefore, when you meet with bad situations, enforce your redemption. Create whatever you desire in your mind, declare it and don’t stop saying it until you take your victory. If you are in Christ, you are a co-creator. Create your world with your words.

INSTRUCTION: The power of death has been broken. Consciously abolish the fear of death.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for freeing me from the power of death, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: Create your world with your words.

THE WORD IS GOD

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”

John 1:1

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  The personality of eternal life is the Word of God (Jesus Christ).

Eternal life is real and sure. Eternal life is not an event but it is a person. The personality of eternal life is the Word of God (Jesus Christ). Jesus must take resident inside of you. The devil cannot take the personal encounter you have with the Word of God (Jesus Christ) away from you. It is Jesus that gives eternal life (Matthew 4:4). Nothing can function outside the Word of God. When you are a carrier of the Word of God, the Word of God inside of you produces tangible results. Even in periods of economic meltdown, the Word

The word ‘justified’ is a legal word (Romans 8:33). It means to be put right with God. Scripture is Christ centered. The foundation of Christianity is doctrine. We are to know the scriptures otherwise salvation will not benefit us. What you know will always make the difference. It is what you know that distinguishes you from the crowd. Until you know who you are in Christ via the scriptures, you will not be able to exercise the authority and dominion that has been given to you. It is the knowledge that you have about Christ via the scriptures that makes you live a life of dominion here on earth.  God is accessed only through knowledge. When you pray outside knowledge, you cannot get results. Any prayer based on the standpoint of knowledge is the prayer that brings results. Prayer is taking God’s word back to God for results. When you are not equipped with the knowledge of the word of God, you can’t pray the right prayer and you will never get the required results.

INSTRUCTION: Seek after the Word that reveals God in you.

PRAYER:  Lord, let the content and made of in Christ begin to manifest, in Jesus name!

QUOTE: Every spoken Word of God is Christ in motion to effect change.
