VICTORY IN CHRIST JESUS

“But thanks be unto God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”

1 Corinthians 15:57

LIGHT FOR NOW: You are not trying to overcome, you have already overcome.


What makes you a victor in life is because you are in Christ Jesus, the Son of the Living God having been united with him in love; in his death, burial and resurrection. You must note that your union with Christ is an inseparable one (Romans 8:35). It is this inseparable union of love with Christ that makes the believer in Christ Jesus maintain his victory over life’s circumstances. Apostle Paul in Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord: that in all these things we are more than conquerors”. Everything listed in the above passage has been conquered by you as a believer in Christ. To be more than a conqueror means that you didn’t have to go to battle. Someone else fought for you and handed over the victory he won to you. Yes! Christ fought on your behalf and won and delivered the victory into your hands. Hallelujah!!!

You are not trying to overcome but you have already overcome. You are born of God and whatsoever is born of God has overcome the world. You have already overcome the storms and circumstances of life, in Christ Jesus. If you are born of the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus, then you have already overcome whatever life throws at you. You are more than a conqueror. Your victory is in Christ Jesus.


INSTRUCTION: Enforce the victory handed over to you in Christ Jesus.

YOU ARE IN CHRIST

“But ye are come unto Mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” Hebrews 12:20.

LIGHT FOR NOW: You live, move and have your being in Christ.

Being born again, you have been born into Christ. That is where you now live. Christ is not only a person, He is also a place. When you are born again, you are brought into a place called Christ and you live from there. Christ is therefore your new world. In Christ, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are unveiled to you; you now have insight into mysteries and secrets. Life is no longer a mystery but a smooth sail, enjoyable and full of glory. In Christ, we walk in wisdom and righteousness; we walk in victory and dominion; we are never defeated. Christ is the place to be! Alleluia!!! In John 151:9, Jesus said, “…I have chosen you out of the world”. We are therefore not of this world. We are of God and whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. We live our lives in, and from Christ. Christ is our city, Christ is our country. Christ is the Zion where all believers have come into. Zion is no longer a location. Zion is a person and that person is Christ.

We have been planted on the mountain of the Lord. That is where all beauty and glory of God is. You can now understand why your life is meant for beauty and glory. Psalms 50:2 says, “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined”. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). In Christ, you are a new creation. Old things – sickness, disappointments, generational curses and failures are all passed away. It is now Christ and you. You are a generation away. Whatever negative stories attached to your family exempts you. You are only an ambassador of Christ in your family, village and community. You are no longer a part of your blood line. You are now Christ’s. You have been ushered into a newness of life, with dominion over Satan and his cohorts of darkness. Whatever stopped any member of your earthly family has no right to stop you.

WE HAVE BEEN UNITED WITH GOD

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” – Romans 5:1

LIGHT FOR NOW: God had to step out of God and come to man in order to bring man back to Himself.

By Adam’s disobedience, man became alienated from God. He became an enemy to God. Having peace with God became a major problem of man. Man became carnal having separated from God “Because the carnal man is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be” (Romans 8:7). So it was difficult for God to get a man of faith per time and without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Although Chapter 11 of the Book of Hebrews gives an idea of some persons who had a dimension of peace with God by their personal faith in God; God had to step out of God and come to man in order to bring man back to Himself. Man did not have what it takes to go to God; Salvation is all about God coming to man. Today, we have been united collectively with God because we are of the same body called the Body of Christ. The enmity between God and man was collective in Adam, because in Adam, all sinned and came short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

Ephesians 2:11-12 says, “Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; that at that time ye were without God in this terrible world, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world”. This shows the helplessness and hopelessness of man. Man was in such a terrible state. But verses 13 to 16 of that scripture show the dimensional shift brought about by Christ. They read, “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who hath made us one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself twain one new man, so making peace”. Therefore, you have no reason not to enjoy the peace of God. Christ has reconciled us back to God. He has made us one and united with God. No more condemnation; no more charges. Praise the Lord!!!

INSTRUCTION: Enjoy the peace made available to you in Christ Jesus.

YOU HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” – Romans 5:1

LIGHT FOR NOW: Now that you have been justified, you have no record of sin.

To be justified is to be discharged and acquitted. It is to declared not guilty and have a right standing with God. To be justified is to be united, to be in union with God. This means that we are no longer enemies to God. Christ was made to be sin for us. David spoke about Christ and gave a good report about Him (Hebrews 11:23). In Christ, we have been declared free and acquitted. The Old Covenant scolds, exposes and institutes all forms of legislations. The old covenant was anti-human. In the New Covenant, there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 8:10 says, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more”. This simply means that you have been found not guilty and discharged and acquitted. You do not have any record of sin anymore. It will therefore be a serious violation of agreement and gross injustice to repeat a punishment that was already put on someone.

Life is now strictly based on faith in Christ. Faith in the finished work of Christ is what makes life beautiful. Jesus is not just sitting on the mercy seat, He is the Mercy Seat.  The confession and belief that Christ was raised from the dead is what guarantees your redemption and it is your redemption that guarantees your justification. The work is grace is possible only because Christ made Himself available. Until your belief system is established in Christ, you cannot be justified. Therefore, you need to have an honest belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

INSTRUCTION: Believe in Christ and you are justified.

PRAYER: I am in Him justified and He is in me glorified, in Jesus Name. Amen.

YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS

‘I can do all things through Christ which strenghteneth me’ – Philippians 4:13

LIGHT FOR NOW: All things are possible to them that believe.

The believer’s world is a place of limitless possibilities. This is because the life that the believer in Christ has is the very life of God. It is called Zoe; the God-kind of life. The believer in Christ is born of God and has overcome the world by faith (1John 5:4). Therefore, you must live in the consciousness of a man in authority that cannot be limited, hindered, restricted, frustrated, hindered, delayed or stopped from attaining all the possibilities of life. You can live in the same realm that Jesus lived while here on earth, achieving limitless possibilities. Acts 17:28 says, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being….for we are also his offspring”. In John 14:12, Jesus said, “verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father”. It is now a matter of choice for the believer in Christ to permit or to resist something from happening in and around his life.

The power to command exploits and the supernatural to happen is already inside of you. This is why the Bible in Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”. As a believer in Christ, you are to exercise the authority of Jesus by the Spirit of God in you. Our position in Christ as believers is that of a people standing in the place of Christ to do what Christ would have done in that situation you find yourself. You are to command the supernatural to happen by the Spirit of God inside of you. There is no impossibility with the believer in Christ. Hallelujah!!!

INSTRUCTION: Refuse to confess negatively no matter the situation you find yourself.


PRAYER: I have the very life of God in me therefore I have limitless possibilities in Christ, in Jesus Name!

THERE IS SO MUCH POWER AT WORK IN YOU

“Now to him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)

LIGHT FOR NOW: A believer in Christ does not have a power problem.

According to our text for today, there is so much power at work in a believer. He has the tremendous ability to do exploits through the Holy Spirit indwelling in him. The believer is never powerless or helpless at any time. A believer in Christ does not have a power problem because the greater One lives in him. The Bible makes us understand that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). The greater One lives inside of you therefore, you are greater than any forces coming against you. Whatever you permit is what will be permitted and whatever you bind is what will be bound (Matthew 18:18). Your inability to exercise your authority through the lack of knowledge is the reason for your failure and frustrations in life. There is so much power available to the believer to take charge of his world. Until you take charge of your life by the power of the spirit, you cannot be in charge. The scripture says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). If Christ is in you, then it implies that there is so much power and help inside of you for everything life brings your way.


You must learn to draw strength from within you. You must be conscious and deliberate about this. You must learn to relate with the spirit of God within you for answers and solutions to all of life’s challenges. God can do exceeding abundantly above all more than you can ever ask or think because of his power that is at work in you. This power is already on your inside. Stop looking at your father, uncle, brother or any other earthly relative for help. The help you need is already in your inside. Look inside of you; you have enough power to handle whatever is coming up against you. Believe that you are a powerhouse. Believe in the ability of God on the inside of you. There is so much power inside of you. The way to release this power is by speaking God’s Word to that situation (Mark 11:24). Learn to speak spirit-filled words and faith inspired utterances as well as praying in the Holy Ghost always. As you do this, you will begin to experience the power everyday of your life. Your life will begin to go in the direction of your words. This is how to reign in life and be in charge. It is the secret of winning the battles of life and living a life of dominion here on earth as well as taking over territories.

INSTRUCTION: Stop looking at what is up against you. Look at who is inside of you.

PRAYER: Lord, I activate your power that is in my inside to rule my world, in Jesus Name.

THE IDENTITY OF A BELIEVER

‘That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.’ - Philemon 1:6

LIGHT FOR NOW: You cannot appropriate what you don’t know!

The sharing, fellowship, participation of your faith may be effectual because you acknowledge or have accurate knowledge or revelation of what He has done for you. If you don’t know what He has done for you how would you appropriate it? This is why knowledge is important in salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?’ (Romans 10:13). Until you know, you cannot acknowledge it!

This was one of the Pauline prayers to Philemon his son. He said the same prayers at Philippians 1:9-11. It reads ‘And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgement; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God’. Again, to the church in Colossae Paul wrote ‘For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in e very good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness’ (Colossians 1:9-11). All of Paul’s prayers were focused on the believers’ need for the precise knowledge of Christ. He said that by this the Christian life of such believers will be effectual. This way, every believer in Christ must of a necessity come into this knowledge, lest their lives will not be effective.

The believer must know the what, why, when and how of salvation, which will be considered in the proceeding days. If you miss these four facets of salvation, your work here on Earth will be ineffective; and you will be a minus to humanity. Certainly, you will get to a point where you will be doubting your salvation. This is evident on events where people say that ‘they gave their lives to Christ’. This is the product of wrong teachings; their teachers do not have the insight, or an understanding of what salvation is all about. Right believing stems from right teachings! You cannot believe what you don’t know. Your belief is your identity!

INSTRUCTION: In all you get, get accurate knowledge of salvation by Christ.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

LIGHT FOR NOW: The world of the believer is a world full of possibilities.

The world of the believer is a world full of possibilities. The believer in Christ is a man already anointed by the Spirit of God for all the possibilities of life. Failure and limitation cannot be associated with the believer in Christ. If God cannot fail, then a believer in Christ Jesus has no right to fail in life. When God empowers you, you become an embodiment of possibilities. You choose and decide the way things will go in your life and territory. It is an error for a believer in Christ Jesus to wake up in the morning and run into any form of casualty or mishap during the day. As a believer, you have the power to decide what you want. Your life is no longer at the mercy of the devil. You are in charge of your world. Hallelujah!!!  There is an ability inside of you that you must bring to manifestation (Ephesians 3:20). Stop limiting and looking down on yourself. Don’t be afraid to take steps. You can do all things. Dare it and do it. The help you need is already inside of you. All you need to do is to activate that help.

Our text for today says that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. That is the work of the Grace of God given to every believer. You can do it if you think you can. Stop procrastinating, start that business. Begin that project. Start from where you are and with what you have. With the strength and ability that is inside of you, you cannot end the way you started. Begin to enjoy this world of possibilities in Christ Jesus.

ALL THINGS ARE YOURS

“Therefore, let no man glory in men. For all things are yours. Whether Paul or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s” 1 Corinthians 3:21-23

LIGHT FOR NOW: All things are yours! Name it and claim it.


There is no limitation in the life of a believer in Christ Jesus. All things are yours!! Name it and you will claim it. Life is yours! Healing is yours!! Wealth is yours!!! All things are yours!!! Halleluiah! In the supernatural, there is no limit to what God has given to you. No man is permitted to limit you. The moment you believe the word of God which is supernatural, you step into the arena of no limitations. What you think is GOING TO BE yours is ALREADY yours. You just have to take possession of it. When darkness came to disrupt God’s plan, God did not bother about the darkness, He forced light out of the darkness (Genesis 1). So, you have the responsibility to bring out beauty out of chaos, healing out of sickness, fruitfulness out of bareness. No matter the challenge you are facing today, force it out because all things are yours!! When God speaks, He does not speak at your level; He speaks at His level. God does not talk to us based on circumstances but based on His abilities. H does not speak based on situations, He speaks based on what He can do. When you operate in the spirit, things do not move you. You must come out of the natural and move into the supernatural; come out of your feelings into the spirit realm because all things are yours. Until you go forward, Satan will not move backwards. You can only know how weak Satan is when you roar against him. As you operate in the supernatural, God does the impossible. When you connect with divinity, divinity swallows up humanity.

There is no sickness God cannot heal; no situation that God cannot change. In Matthew 19:26; Jesus said, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”. God wants you to believe His Word. He hates to be doubted. God wants you to trust Him. Let no man limit you. Let neither circumstance nor situation limit you for all things are yours. Everything you see in God’s Word can be yours. So, search out what you want from the scripture and take possession of it. God is bigger than that situation. Stand on the integrity of God’s Word.

KNOW AND ENFORCE YOUR REALM

            “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith, which we preach”. (Romans 10:8).

Light for now: Your realm is a word realm      

        
    You need to know that you are product of the word and so your realm is a word realm (1 Peter 1:23). When you come to this realization by knowledge of the gospel, you will never be speaking negative words in any condition whether good or bad that you face in life. Let this be known to a born again believer that the problem of man is that we don’t make use of our mouth correctly except to say negative words e.g “I am dying”. Take note, it is easy to pray even amiss but to speak positively is so difficult except you are filled with the Spirit of God in the word and not just the Word of God but understanding your identity in Christ. It is not by quoting the scriptures and is not by being born again for years. For you can be all these but you are ignorant of your true identity/nature in Christ. No wonder according to Hosea 4:6-9 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. This is the reason even native doctors speak into fetish things and it comes to pass even on a believer. 
A native doctor who is not even regenerated or rebirth in Christ, who is not a son or product of the word, then how much more a son born of the spirit, a carrier of Eternal life, one who is already sitteth with Christ in heavenly places, earth is His footstool; a carrier of the presence of God (the Residence of the fullness of God head, Col. 2:9-10). When you know who you are in Christ (identity), you speak positively because a believer has no faith problem.  Every situations, conditions and challenges in life that would have made you have sleepless nights is reduced to nothing. Indeed you walk “with your head lifted”. This is when a believer can rightly and boldly say according to 1st John 5:4“Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith”. Even our faith and that is the word of faith we preach. The faith we preach is the gospel (good news) of Christ death, burial, resurrection and His ascension which a believer’s  power (authority) comes from to speak with no doubt nor fear of positive result. The scripture in John 6:63 says, “It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing; the Words that I speak unto you are Spirit and Life”. A believer though in the flesh but in the real sense is a spirit being who is higher than the flesh. So speak with this mindset and then obtain your result. For a believer has already been assured in Christ that He had given us the Spirit of boldness and a sound mind.


Instruction: Be conscious of your identity as a believer.


Prayer: “O Lord, grant me the boldness to speak and produce a positive result always”.

HE HAS GIVEN YOU EVERYTHING

“all things are yours” 2Corinthians 3:21.

LIGHT FOR NOW: The Name of Jesus represents everything that He is.

The death of Jesus has accomplished quite a lot for us as believers. He died for us, that we might have life. He was buried, and God raised Him from the dead, so that we might be raised together with Him (Romans 6:3-4). Now, He is seated in the heavenly places, in the place of power and the Bible says that we are seated together with Him. Therefore, we are seated in the place of power and authority. Yes, we may be here on earth, but our power and authority comes from heaven. This is the reality that God wants us to embrace and apply in our daily lives. The implication of our position in Christ Jesus is that we use His Name, we have His Name, and we live in His Name. His Name is exactly the same power that He has as a person. The Name of Jesus represents everything that He is. However, there are many Christians who do not understand that they have been given all the power and authority. They are ones who pray for things. But praying for material things from God is not just a waste of time but also an insult to God. This is because He gave you His Name, and you are a joint-heir with Him. This means that you are a co-owner of the world with Him. So why should you pray for what is already yours?

Our text for today clearly shows us that all things are ours. God has given us everything. But if you are still looking at your circumstances, you will still be thinking of how to pray and convince God to grant your desires. But, how can you convince someone to give you anything who already gave you everything including the Kingdom? Yes, God has already given us Himself, how much more wouldn’t He give us everything including the Kingdom? He said in Luke 12:32, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom”; and He has done that already. What is required of us now as believers in Christ is to function on Christ’s behalf. Yes! We are His ambassadors. He gave you His life and His Name and His Name represents all that He is and owns. Therefore, you must take your place of dominion, reigning and ruling with Him. He is a King and He has raised us Kings unto Himself. A king does not beg. God does not want you begging Him; that is why He made all things yours.

INSTRUCTION: Appropriate all that the Name of Jesus has accomplished for you.

PRAYER: I am what God says I am, I have all He says I have, and all can do all things in His Name, Amen.
