“Forasmuch as ye know
that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as sliver and gold, from
your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious
blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” 1 Peter 1:18-19
LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Redemption is God re-creating Himself in man.
Back in the days of the Old Testament, redemption was a
market thing. This means that one could buy back what was lost (Leviticus
25:23). Getting back your lost was already put in place by divinity. In a
similar manner, Jesus has redeemed us from sin and the consequences of sin. He
took our sins upon Himself. Hebrews 9:28 (NLT) says, “So also Christ died once for all
time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again,
not to deal with our sins but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting
for him”. We were all kidnapped by Satan, but the arrival of Jesus
brought our freedom (Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:11-12). He entered the most
holy place once and for all and obtained eternal redemption for us. His
one-time death runs on and on unto every generation.
Eternal life is the ultimate gift of God to the human race.
Eternal life is the heartbeat of Christianity. The day you understand
redemption is the day you begin to take over. Your soul is connected to the
eternal plan of God. The main aim of redemption is to provide the God kind of
life to man. Christ is the source of our reigning. There is no way you can
reign or take over outside Christ (Romans 5:17). The arrival of Christ is the
fulfillment of all the promises of God. Redemption was necessary because man
was de-natured, dead and reduced to nothing. Redemption is not an afterthought.
Redemption is not a yesterday plan, but it is the eternal of God. It was
already in place before the fall of man. Nothing takes God unawares. Man’s
disobedience did not take man unawares. The Bible records that Jesus Christ was
slain before the foundation of the world. This means that even before there was
sin and death, redemption was already in place. Redemption is not just about
the forgiveness of sins but it is the activation of God’s character in us.
Redemption is re-creation. It is God re-creating Himself in us. Our actions
cannot determine redemption but it is redemption that determines our being.
INSTRUCTION:Never make Satan a prayer point. He
has been defeated already.

take over, in Jesus name.
