REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:13-14

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: God had already forgiven our sins even before we were born.

You need to know that there is a glorious power at work in you the day you come into Christ.  You now have a seed of royalty in you. God had already forgiven your sins before you were born (Revelation 13:8). Romans 5:8 say, “For God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. You can only speak authoritatively when you know who you are. One of the primary assignments of Jesus death was to destroy him who had the power of death. The source of death is sin (Romans 5:12). The state of being free from sin is called salvation. Until you are free from sin, you are not delivered.

When we receive Christ, we receive His death. We were buried with Him and we were also raised with Him. We have the ‘New Life’ because we believe in his death, burial and resurrection. We live a life free from sin and death. Christ took our place as a sinner that we may receive His righteousness. Your victory walk here on earth is a function of who you are in Him. Since sin is a transgression of the law, a born again man has no sin to transgress because Jesus is the end of the law (Romans 10:4). The law is not for a righteous man. A new creation is made to live not by the law but by the finished work of Christ on the cross. When you begin to live in doubt and unbelief as a born again person, you get robbed of God’s blessings on your life. Your reigning in life is connected to the gift of righteousness through Christ. One cannot reign outside righteousness. Everyone born in Adam is born into sin but to be born again is to be born of God and everyone born of God overcomes the world.

The same way you did not do anything wrong to be called a sinner is the same way you do not need to do anything right to be called righteous. Romans 5:18-19 says, “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous”. You need to know that Jesus Christ made us righteous. Whatever Adam did in us, the arrival of Jesus reversed all of that.

INSTRUCTION:Never be conscious of sin.

PRAYER:Lord, I am redeemed by your blood, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: Until you are free from sin, you are not delivered.
