YOU ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous” Romans 5:19

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: When you come into Christ, your Adamic nature dies naturally.

You did not need to do anything to be called a sinner therefore, you do not need to do any works to be righteous. When God raised Jesus up from the dead, we became the beneficiaries of Christ’s death. One man’s offence brought death to all and the obedience of one man has brought life to all. Galatians 2:20-21 says, “I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain”. When you come into Christ, your Adamic nature dies. Believers who are still afraid of death are ignorant of what redemption has done for them.

To reign in life, you must live by faith. Romans 1:16-17 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith”. The life God wants us to live is a life of faith. When you believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross, you are made righteous. You do not need any extra work to be righteous. All you need to do is to believe. It is your belief in Christ that makes righteousness to be imputed on you.
