“But as many as
received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on his name” John 1:12
LIGHT FOR THE NOW: It is only a son that is entitled to privileges and inheritance.
The highest name men could answer after the fall of Adam in
the Garden of Eden in relationship with God was servant. If Jesus could call
Himself the Son of God, it means God is His father and He has the nature of
God. Jesus, through the covenant of Grace has made every member of His New
Covenant a son. It is only a son that is entitled to privileges and
inheritance. If you are a son of God, it means you are part of divinity and
divinity is part of you. Titus 3:7 (NLT) says, “Because of his grace, he declared
us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life”.
If you are a son of God, you have an inheritance of eternal life. It is your
belief in Jesus that guarantees your position as a son. Our text for today
clearly shows that as many that received Jesus and believes on His name, He
gave them power to become sons of God.
It is an error to believe that Jesus is the only son of God.
Jesus is the First Begotten of the Father. The Bible records in Acts 13:33-34,
“God
hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus
again; as it is also written in the second psalm, THOU ART MY SON, THIS DAY
HAVE I BEGOTTEN THEE. And concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now
no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I WILL GIVE YOU THE SURE
MERCIES OF DAVID”. After the death and glorious resurrection of Christ,
God reaped many sons. Therefore, you are also a son of God. You have the
liberty to enjoy all rights and privileges sons enjoy. You have the right to
place a demand and not beg. Sons don’t beg. You have the right to decree a
thing and it is established. You have the right to your inheritance.
INSTRUCTION:Rise into your son-ship.
PRAYER:Father, I enforce my son-ship and I
enjoy all privileges as your son in Jesus name.
QUOTE: Sons don’t beg. Sons place demands.
