RULE YOUR WORLD WITH YOUR WORDS (1)

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us(and we beheld his glory, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”  John 1:14.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Your words are the most important weapons you need to rule your world.

The Bible in Genesis 1 records that the earth was without form and void. It was via the spoken Word of God that God created and restored order to the earth. In the midst of darkness, He said, “Let there be light” and there was light (genesis 1:3). The Word that gave light to the world became flesh, and dwelt amongst us in the person of Jesus. He walked this earth from Jerusalem to Capernaum, to Galilee as the Word in human form. He lived as the Word and did everything He did with and through the Word. He healed the sick with the Word, raised the dead with the Word, cast out demons with the Word. He only had to speak words, and miracles ensured. He raised Lazarus from the dead, a man who had been dead and buried for four days and who surely must have begun to decompose. When Jesus called out, “Lazarus, come forth”, the man who had been dead for four days came out alive (John 11:43).

Jesus lived and triumphed in this world with words. This clearly shows us how to live victoriously in this world. When He needed to feed the multitude, and all that was available was five loaves of bread and two fish, he spoke words (Matthew 14:17-21). He took the loaves of bread, and fish and spake words of multiplication into them and the five loaves of bread and two fish became more than enough to feed five thousand men, women and children not counted, with twelve baskets as leftovers. As believers in Christ Jesus, we have the same power to triumph with words. The Bible records in Mark

INSTRUCTION: Be involved in a constant study of the Word of God.

PRAYER:  Lord, I receive divine insight into mysteries and secrets in order to rule my world, in Jesus name!

QUOTE: The Holy Spirit is the chief revealer of secrets.

TAKING OVER VIA STUDYING THE WORD OF HIS GRACE

“And that from a child, thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” 2 Timothy 3:15.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: You can only gain insight to take over when you study the Word of His Grace.

If you are going to live a victorious, prosperous and glorious life, you have to know, understand and live by the Word of God, which is the wisdom of God. In Matthew 22:29, Jesus said to the Jews,”…ye do err, not knowing the scripture…”. Many miss and function in error because they lack the wisdom of God which is only gotten by studying the Word of His Grace. They are therefore ignorant of God’s word. The knowledge of God’s Word inspires the wisdom of God in you to know, say, and do the right thing, at the right time, for God’s purpose. Wisdom is divine insight into realities. It is a force that works in you, causing you to walk with divine insight in God’s perfect will for your life. And it is the Holy Spirit that works in you to produce that force of wisdom in your life. He is the One that fills you with the wisdom of God, for He is the Spirit of wisdom. Acting or talking smart does not make one wise. You are not wise because you are advanced in age and therefore have hindsight. What makes you to be equipped to take over territories is the divine insight into mysteries and secrets, which is only granted you by the Holy Spirit, through constant study of the Word.

Hindsight is wisdom is after the event, but insight is the capacity to understand hidden truths; wisdom for the event and that is what you need to be able to take over territories. This is the kind of wisdom God gave to Solomon. It is practical wisdom and is much more than a mental exercise. It is a special mindset that causes you to see, think, talk and act right. The Bible declares that Christ has been made unto us wisdom from God. It is only through constant study of the Word of His Grace that you will come into this knowledge and affirm same. Then, you will be propelled by the force of wisdom which is the Holy Spirit of God to do the right things, the right way, for God’s glory and purpose.

INSTRUCTION: Be involved in a constant study of the Word of God.

PRAYER:  Lord, I receive divine insight into mysteries and secrets in order to rule my world, in Jesus name!

QUOTE: The Holy Spirit is the chief revealer of secrets.

ONE WITH CHRIST

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the first born from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence.” Colossians1:18.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: You and Christ are one; one body one spirit

Christ is the head of the church and you are the church which is His body. So, Christ and His church are one just as the head and the body are one. God sees Christ, the head, as perfect so also you, as His body, is perfect. In other words, you cannot assume that Christ is accepted by God and His body not accepted by Him! The measure of Jesus’ acceptance by God is the measure of your acceptance by God. So, it makes no sense to say that the head is well but the body sick, that the head is rich but the body in lack or that the head is at rest but body full of stress. Friends, what Jesus is before God, that is exactly who you are to the father. As Jesus Christ is, so are you in this world (1John 4:17).Today, God wants you to lay claim on Christ being your head. Start believing that by all His perfection, and the delight and joy that He brings to the Father’s heart, He has set your account – Jesus has put you right with God! And you will begin to realize that as Jesus is the sweet smelling savor to the Father, so are you.

The more you begin to see that you are one with Christ the more you become like Him. If you are sick in your body, Christ your head will impart His healing virtue to you. If you lack wisdom, Christ your head imparts His wisdom to you. If you lack anything, Christ your head will give you His exceeding riches. The Bible says; “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3John2). Christ as your head is the perfect will of the Father, so are you as His perfect body. In God’s perfect will, there is no sickness, poverty or death. So there should be no sickness, poverty or death traceable to you because you are God’s perfect will. The will of God is not abstract; the will of God in Christ is you. Therefore, if you are in Christ, you are the will of God. In the will of God, nothing gets missing, lacking, broken or spoil. You are one body, one soul and one spirit with Christ. Anyone that sees you sees Christ. You are not separated from Him. You move, live and have your being in Him. Let this rich mind-set and revelation be in you that Christ and you are one. You can never be separated from Christ your head from whom comes all the supply you need.

INSTRUCTION: Declare Christ now and become one with Him!

PRAYER:  Lord, I declare my oneness with Christ, in Jesus name!

QUOTE: The will of God is not abstract; the will of God in Christ is you.

CHRIST IS YOUR NEW WORLD

“as ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him”  Colossians 2:6

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  Faith is the basis of our walk with Christ.

We receive Christ Jesus only by faith. Faith is walking in the Word. When we walk in the Word, we are walking in Christ. Colossians 3:4 says Christ is your life; in Him you live, move and have your being. You are in the environment called Christ, and it is important that you live your life every day, conscious of this reality. Walking in Christ is beyond talking to Him in prayers when you have a need; rather, you are to have the present-hour consciousness that you are in Him, and He’s in you: you are all that He says you are, have all that He says you have, and can do all that He says you can. You must see yourself in this light and walk accordingly. You can only walk in the Light of the Lord by walking in His Word.

1 John 1:5-6 says, “this then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not know the truth”. You cannot walk in Christ and still walk in darkness at the same time. Darkness represents evil; all that limits and hinders. Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth meshall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). When Christ is your new world, you experience the life of Christ everyday. You are forever victorious, prosperous, and in health. Live in the consciousness that you are a victor in Christ Jesus. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see someone that is in need of deliverance. He sees you as strong, full of the Holy Ghost and power. He sees you as more than a conqueror. You have to agree with His picture and say Yes to the picture God has about you.

INSTRUCTION: Say yes to God’s picture about you.

PRAYER: Father, I say yes to all that you have called me to be, in Jesus name.

QUOTE:A born again child of God is not in need of deliverance.

GROW YOUR FAITH

“….according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith”   Romans 12:3

LIGHT FOR THE NOW:  Faith is the basis of our Christian walk.

As believers, we walk not by sight but by faith (2Corinthians 5:7). The Bible clearly emphasizes that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrew 11:6). There is no Christian without faith as we have all received the same measure of faith. You only need to grow your measure of faith. The Scripture reveals how we can grow great and effectual faith. First, you have to stay continually in the Word; the Word stirs faith in your spirit. “ Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17). The more you hear God’s Word, the more faith you will have. The less of God’s Word you hear, the less faith you will have. The less of God’s word you receive into your spirit, the less faith you will be able to express when you are faced with the challenges of life.

Your faith is also built as you consistently attend church services and fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:25). In church, you are taught the Word and also enjoy the rich fellowship of the Spirit in a way that energizes your faith. The scriptures admonishes that we neglect not the fellowship of the brethren. You can also grow your faith by constantly meditating on, and putting the Word to work in your life.

Acting on the Word is faith expressed, and our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Faith that is not expressed is faith that will not prevail. Faith must always come with a corresponding action. “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26).  You must always express your faith in words and in actions. Stop complaining or crying over that situation; act on the Word! Use your faith. Jesus said if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can tell a mountain to move and it will obey you. The faith you have is enough. Do something with it. Use your faith. It is the currency for whatever you desire.

INSTRUCTION: Grow your faith by putting the faith you have into use.

PRAYER: Father, I receive eternal life and I have life in abundance, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: Faith is the currency you use to purchase in the realm of the spirit.

YOU ARE VICTORIOUS IN CHRIST

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” Romans8:37.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: A new man in Christ addresses issues of life from a victory point of view and not as a victim.

When the Bible says that you are more than conquerors, it is an assurance of victory. It means that you are a victor in life and not a victim. You are absolutely indomitable. Nothing can hurt or affect you negatively. Jesus, in mark 16:18 says, “if thou shalt drink any deadly thing, it shall not harm thee”. This means that poison has no effect in a re born man because the life he lives is divine. Papa Umai Ukpai shared a story of how he was kidnapped and the kidnappers gave him acid to drink. He took the acid and told the acid to function as tea in his system and then drank the acid. Till today, he is alive as the acid could not hurt him. Nevertheless, a Christian who has not imbibed the Word and learnt to exercise his faith can easily be carried away by the storms of life. He has not learnt to put his faith to work. A simple stomach upset can have him fretting about what he ate. He is ignorant of his victorious life in Christ.

In Acts 28:5, Apostle Paul was bitten by a venomous snake. He did not cry out in pain, rather he simply shook it off into the fire without suffering any harm. The Bible records that those watching were waiting for Paul to swell, fall down and die as a result of the venom. But when that did not happen, they concluded that Paul must be a god. But then, the Bible in Psalms28:6 calls as gods. It reads, “…ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High”. As a born again child of God, the life at work in you is divine. Your life is no longer based on your blood. This is why as a regenerated man, you are not permitted to suffer any blood disease. Now that you are in Christ, the Word of God is the life of your flesh. The Holy Spirit energises your body because your body is His living tabernacle. As a carrier of the Holy Spirit, sickness, diseases and infirmities cannot gain access into your body system. You cannot carry the Holy Ghost inside of you and still carry blood diseases around. Its impossible for the Holy Ghost to dwell alongside ugly situations. The arrival of the Holy Ghost in your life is the exit of all ugly situations.

INSTRUCTION: Live a triumphant life through your constant meditation and confession of the Word of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I enforce my victory over all situations of life, in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: A believer in Christ Jesus walks in constant victory.

GRACE TO TAKE OVER

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” 2Corinthians 9:8.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: A man that is graced by God is able to do all things.

Every Christian has been graced by God to excel in all things. This is because God directs all the grace he requires for anything in this life such that he is not lacking in any competency or ability. As a born again Christian, you are qualified for any task. That is what it means to have ‘all sufficiency in all things’. You have all the competencies, special skills and abilities required for excellence in all things. The word, ‘sufficiency’ in our anchor scripture is translated in Greek word ‘autarkeia’ which means a state of being  self-sufficient whereby one does not require any aid or support. As a believer in Christ Jesus, you have a balanced life such that you are so efficient, effective and capable of handling all situations of life without any help or assistance. You must think, see and live from this perspective of limitless possibilities and endless opportunities. You have been graced by God to handle all matters of life. In every sphere of life, a believer in Christ Jesus is expected to take over; to be in charge.

You have the competence and you are up to the task. No matter the challenges you may face in life, they are bread for you. You are competent enough to handle them. Paul in Philippians 4:13 states, ‘I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me’.  If God has chosen you to do a thing, there is no need wondering if you will be able to do it or not. Your competence is of God. He who has called you to do a thing will equip you with the specific skills and abilities to do that thing. You have been specially equipped by God to take over territories. You have been graced to produce excellence. Halleluiah!

INSTRUCTION: Never doubt your capabilities. You have been graced by God.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for creating me unto every good work in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: Grace is the grease that makes life easy.

TAKE OVER WITH YOUR WORDS (2)

Light For The Now: Your evening result is a function of your morning speaking’s.

Greatness comes by great speaking’s. A man with a bigmouth (someone who speaks unbelievably big) though in a low place of life today will certainly become unbelievably big tomorrow. It is just a matter of time. How to say it and have it, is first by being connected to the one who is the Word of God, i.e. Jesus (John 1:12). If you do not know or believe in Jesus by receiving Him into your life and confessing Him as your Lord and Savior, your words will lack the basis upon which it can become flesh. As you wake up in the morning, decide how your day will be and God will honour His word concerning that day. Your evening result is determined by your morning speaking’s. Believe it or not, you are what you say. Another man’s word over you does not have effect until you affirm and accept them. The word’s we speak are not ordinary words but they are spirit and they are life (Jhn6:63). Elisha the man of God made a decree by speaking and it came to pass because he was already connected to the King (God). If you are connected to God, your words will come into power and authority. For were the word of a King is, there is power consequently, when you decree a thing, it  will be established readily. Through your personal relationship with Jesus, you are now a King and a Priest. You must trust in Christ Jesus by depending on His ability, integrity and power (Ps 56:11). Never through your words resurrect what Christ has nailed to the cross. He said your problems are Finished. You must keep speaking the words even when the evidence proves contrary. You are the next champion if you boldly declare it. Keep speaking the word, for by so doing, you’ll rule your world.

INSTRUCTION: Carefully arrange your words when speaking even if you are under pressure.

PRAYER: Lord, my tongue must produce positive results for me in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: A man that talks big will definitely become big.

TAKE OVER WITH YOUR WORDS (1)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they love it shall eat the fruit thereof” – Proverbs 18:21

Light for the Now: When you locate God’s word for your situation; speak it over the situation and that situation will definitely change.

The tongue is the carrier or instrument of blessing or causes. It all depends on how you use it. Your tongue will produce results in that direction. The word of God is the vehicle that moves God into action. Therefore, when you locate the word that addresses your situation, keep speaking it until you obtain the required results. A closed mouth is a closed destiny. Think of this; if you sometimes make utterances and they come to pass, how much so the Word of the Almighty, the change agent and custodian of power. Our words are the instruments of both positive and negative results. It is not your situation that counts but what you say in that situation. Your life is answerable to your words. There is no situation bigger than the word of God. Speak the Word of light and God will move into action. The Word you speak is the word of faith which produces good results. The Spirit of God is always available to bring about the manifestation of God’s word spoken by faith. If faith is not in your words, then God is far from that word. Say it the way you want to see it.

INTRODUCTION: Boldly declare what you want even when situations of life seem contrary.

PRAYER: Father, I reorder my mouth to work positively for me in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: Your life is answerable to your words.

THE MAKE-UP OF DELIVERANCE

“The spirit of the lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord” Luke 4:18-19

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: Real deliverance that puts you on top of Satan is preached and not prayed.

The word “deliverance” is translated from the Greek word “aphesis” and it means release, send away, take away or rescue. Deliverance is either taught or preached. It is not a prayer. Jesus and the Apostles never connected nor recommended us to prayers for deliverance: Bible deliverance and deliverance that puts you on top of Satan is preached and not prayed. The practice of praying over people in this regard is strange. Another word for bible deliverance is “forgiveness of sins”. Ignorance makes you a captive. So, the preaching of deliverance frees you from ignorance ( Eph 1:18 ). No amount of prayer can open your understanding. The only thing that opens your understanding is the teaching of the Word of God (Psalms 119:130; Isaiah 5:13-14). If you do not have the redemption knowledge, you are going down. You need to understand that, the word “It is Finished” is a comprehensive word ( John 19:30 ). When you pray deliverance, you are acting in ignorance

Deliverance means complete forgiveness from the bondage of sins. You are not delivered until you receive the forgiveness of sins that God offered through The Blood of Jesus. Therefore, deliverance is a one-time event. Repetition of deliverance is an attack that attracts more demons to you. If you are born of God or have received the forgiveness of sins, you are unstoppable, untouchable, etc. There is no process for deliverance, but it is a one-time encounter.
Believers in Christ are partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light because of their forgiveness of sins. To be delivered is to be translated from one place to another. When you receive the forgiveness of sins, it means you have been delivered from the authority of darkness into the authority of Light. You are Light personified (John 1:4, Isaiah 60:1). When you enter a place and things are not working, your duty is to make it work (1 Peter 2:9, John 1:5). The word “deliverance” also means Salvation. The moment you receive the forgiveness of sin, you receive deliverance from the power of darkness.

INSTRUCTION: Receive Jesus and have all-round deliverance.

PRAYER: Father, by your word I am delivered, in Jesus name. Amen!
QUOTE: To be delivered is to have your sins forgiven.

DISCERNING THE SPIRITS

“To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues” 1Corinthians 12:10.

LIGHT FOR THE NOW: The Spirit of discernment perceives the activities of the spirit.

The purpose of the gifts of the spirit is to help a believer live a fulfilled life here on earth. To discern means to be aware of the spirit and to be conscious of the spirit at work in a person or a place. It has nothing to do with judgement and knowledge, but just to be aware and conscious. 1 John 4:1-3 says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God; and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” This discernment is independent of the senses but is via revelation. It is not a complete insight, but a spirit of awareness. Discernment does not teach you anything but just to be aware.

According to our text, the word ‘Spirits’ refers to spiritual matters, spiritual symbols and spiritual beings. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 says, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man”. God is a Spirit. John 4:24 says, “God is a spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”.
Worship is not when you sing a song. The moment you come into Christ, you are a worshipper. Everything about a child of God is Worship. Man is also a spiritual being. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NLT) says, “Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again”. Angels are spirit beings as well. Hebrews 1:7$14 (NLT) says, “Regarding the angels, he says he sends his angels like the wind, his servants like flames of fire”. Therefore, angels are only servant-spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. They are assigned to minister to those who are born again. This is why they are called ministering spirits. As a born again child of God, angels are assigned to you to go before you and with you to make life easy for you. This is the reason it is virtually impossible for a born again child of God to be a victim of life as his ministering angels are always there to guide him through life.

INSTRUCTION: Be spiritually alert at all times.

PRAYER: Lord, let your Spirit guide me through life, in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: It takes only a spiritual man to understand spiritual things.
